1. Nebraska 2. Stanford 3. Texas 4. Penn State 5. Washington
This is probably not what the rankings are going to look like at the beginning of the year or anything, but I would not be surprised if the FF particpants came from this pool next year. If Texas does go 6-2 next year, I wouldn't be surprised to see them struggle at first (maybe switch rotation systems around a bit) but by the time conference play comes around and certainly the NCAA tournament, they should be rolling. Should be some great volleyball next season!

Price will not leave Penn State she was their best passer. Having a new liberocoming in will be a big factor. Setting I wonder if he will try a 6-2 Yantz never got a chance. I think if yantz had played more all year he should have put her in instead of Glass in the final game. She made some poor choices hopefully she learned when not to set a player. Also Blair Brown is going to be a great RS.

"Nebraska. but will not win title" on what basis would or could you make that statement? I am not saying that they will, but sure as hell not saying they won't. That is so baseless. Here, I will make a rationale case why they will win, and than you can post (now remember) a rationale case why the won't. They return the best talent in the country. An all-american setter, 3 all-american OH's, 2 of which are players of the year, an AA middle blocker. 8-9 players will have played in a title match, 6 of which won a title. They will certainly host all rounds leading up to the FF. I guess I see your point, and certainly am looking fwd to it. Again, they are no shoe in to win it, but making a statement that say's they won't is silly.

My wish:
1. Hawaii (...because I grew up in Hawaii...the poor part of town) 2. Columbia (...because I went to law school there) 3. Cal Poly (...because my other home is nearby in Avila Beach) 4. North Carolina (...because I grew up in NC) 5. Iowa State (...because of Christy Johnson)
However, I'm a realist. So this is how it will REALLY shake out:
1. Hawaii 2. Columbia 3. Cal Poly 4. North Carolina 5. Iowa State
Thanks, in advance.

Are any of the things I posted untrue in any way? I think what you don't like about it is, the fact that I used facts, and basic sense in illustrating a point.

I think your point is a bit presumptous. Nebraska has been the top seed in the tourney for the past 3 seasons, yet they were only able to win it this year IN Nebraska.

It isn't arrogant, if you read my two posts, I clearly said, "i'm not saying they will win" In making an argument I backed it up with why I thought that. I than listed the facts. I have no problem with someone saying "they won't win", just give some basis or argument as to why they won't. I challenged him to make a case for his statement, thats all.

Let's have 4 teams in next year's Final Four that haven't won a championship yet so we'd be gauranteed of having a first time champion.

What?? OK, the last one may be further back but I think top 25 is a real possibility. I don't see a solid number 5 team.

How about Utah? Anyone think they can sneak in the top 5? I think USC has potential to ranked highly. There libero doesn't need to be that good considering Carico only sets the outsides anyway! Utah returns all starters. They will be good. I would guess a preseason ranking between 10-15, but they should probably be higher.
