Mclaughlin, Cook, Stone were all approached. Mclaughlin and Cook said weren't interested, Stone was offered, came very, very close and declined. Lang Pings salary is actually pretty good. In the end would have been a paycut for Cook (with camps/bonuses etc...)

What is wrong with the NT team right now? It looks ike there should be some major changes done they actually want to make an impact in the world stage. If Logan says that it needs to move, maybe it should move. She's got a point, not a lot of girls want to move to Colorado to just train, train, train. There are good volleyball players here that should be in the national team, but do not join because of the location.

besides Logan, who are you thinking of? Remember, USA needs serve receiving, terminating lefts... Middles, setters and opposites are in pretty good shape.

Now that I think of it, those that I've been thinking of are still in college. However, a lot of the sports USA had international success in (such as softball) has had college players in their roster.

What I like most about Logan (may I call her "Logan"?) is that she never applies nail polish. I love girls who don't feel the need to follow the traditional trappings of girl/woman hood. Well, all the times I've seen her, she never had any polish on. Maybe if she put polish on she wouldn't be able to lift her arms. She looks like a poster child for malnutrition. Put some clothes on.

What are you talking about. Logan Tom is fit and very attractive. Don't think someone could be suffering from malnutrition and be one of the top players in the world in any sport. Sykora mentioned she has quite the God given talent, I don't think that is one of them. Logan obviously works on her body and it shows. Keep up the good work!

I'm talking about Skiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnny. I didn't say she couldn't play volleyball or that she wasn't one of the best. I just think the player should weigh more than the ball.

What are the issues with JLP? Who would take her spot? Let's not forget that Logan said that she would make the sacrifice of living in Colorado Springs if it meant representing her country in an Olympics. Would she have a chance at qualifying on the beach for 2008?

Logan did look very thin, almost to thin in the last olympics she played in. So much more thin than when she was at Stanford. But now I have seen pics of her on the beach playing and she definetly looks more healthy, like before.

" Are you kidding me with many of these posts. What a bunch of suck ups. The training center is in Colorado Springs. If princess is too special to play for her country then forget it. Sometimes I seriously cannot believe what I read from grown adults.

Change of subject. I got my Volleyball Magazine this past month. Here we were embroiled in one of the most competitive college volleyball seasons in the past several years. On the front page is Logan Tom ? Perhaps some of you are editors ? Was this all we had to talk about in the world of volleyball in the month of december is what Logan Tom thinks of everything. No wonder many are losing interest in the sport.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought about Logan's weight. I know how it's very sensitive to women so I didn't want to be the one to bring it up first.
Does Logan have Hawaiian blood in her?

They'll do a wrap-up of the college season in the next issue or two. They have to lead with feature stories that are not time sensitive.
