I liked that article. I liked that Tom was quite frank about not wanting to live in Colorado Springs. What are the chances of the women's NT moving back to SoCal?

What I like most about Logan (may I call her "Logan"?) is that she never applies nail polish. I love girls who don't feel the need to follow the traditional trappings of girl/woman hood. Well, all the times I've seen her, she never had any polish on.

This team must relocate to Southern California.....staying there is a huge problem for the program.....look for some big changes at the OTC by the way....perhaps a completely new coaching staff!

Or before? If before, that would be drastic!!

There are big problems in "River City"....something about a petition signed by most of the members of the National Team.... You figure out the rest

I'm all for changes... like finding an American to coach the team. Not sure why we think we have to find someone from outside our country to coach that group.

Lots of countries carry foreign coaches. JLP has been known as one of the best coaches out there. The greater priority should be on developing our young talent and finding outside hitters that can pass and hit.

Most of our major programs don't want their front row players passing.....especially the MB's......JLP is not held in great esteem from a coaching perspective by a large number of her athletes.....Look for changes....either from within(JLP) or from without

I still have a hard time seeing JLP walking into the arena in Beijing wearing red, white, blue. This Olympics is enormous for the Chinese Government and she is a national hero.

I simply think we have enough great coaching talent IN AMERICA and it should be utilized. We DO have outsides that can pass and hit... it just turns out that those players aren't playing on the National Team... part of the problem is because they live in Colorado, and another BIG part is because of the coach.

Perhaps the American coaches that USA Volleyball want don't want to coach the USA NT due to $$$? Perhaps these same American coaches can't coach the USA NT due to their school/college commitments (e.g., employment contract)? Do you see John Cook or Mary Wise or Dave Shoji taking a 4-year leave of absence (without pay!) to coach the USA NT for considerably less pay? Perhaps USA Volleyball just can't get the American coaches they want?

Wolfie, I think that if you look at the structure of USA Volleyball it is easy to make a case that it is structured for the guys, not the women.....don't you agree?
