www.greatlakescenter.com/is a cruddy web page! I can't get the information about the tournament to even display. I am excited that Purdue is going to play there, and plan to go! The animation shows: Wisconsin Dayton Flyers Bowling Green pawprint Jays GT hornets Iowa KU Marquette Michigan Michigan State M State (Missouri?) Northwestern ND Ohio State Purdue T Texas Huskies NC Tar Heels Milwaukee V (hornet) V (swords) (Vanderbilt ?) Broncos Sounds like a really good group of teams! And that is 24.

At one point, I had figured them all out.
The paw print is Clemson, I believe (I hope so - I'd love to see Didem Egga play again) Jays is Creighton M State I am pretty sure is Missouri St T is Tennessee Huskies are Northern Illinois Milwaukee is UWM One of the V's is Vanderbilt. The other is the new team, I think Broncos is Western Michigan

7 of 11 big ten teams (sounds like one of the Star Trek characters).
With such a high percentage of Big 10 teams represented, it would be pretty slick if they could convert the tournament into a conference clash between Big 12 and Big 10 or Big 10 and ACC, much like the Big 10 and ACC do in men's basketball in their annual preseason.

I don't think Vanderbilt has a volleyball team. Maybe the swords are for Virginia Cavaliers??

Villanova - I knew I knew it but I just couldn't think of it!
THANKS !
The people who were smart enough to put a name embedded into their Logo were thinking.
I've never been to the GLC - any hints about parking, or where to get food, or bring chairs or ... ?

Food ? Mr Butler has a very nice, profitable canteen at the GLC operated by young ladies in the club who "work" for part of their annual club dues. No wonder the dude can afford a several hundred acre ranch in the Pacific Northwest.

The newer GLC has plenty of parking and is surrounded by many strip malls with restaurants, grocery stores and the like. Pretty much urban blight but better than the old GLC.

Thanks for the info!
Anybody got a picture of the inside? Are there lots of bleachers, or wall-to-wall courts?

If I remember correctly, it's wall to wall courts with seating on the baseline only.

Roughly, what are the playing times for this tournament? There are a lot of teams, does anyone know how they decide pairings?
