Because he is tired of holding the same smile all this time on the Quaker Oats oatmeal containers. No, that isn't Barbara Bush, it's Wm. Penn.

fan of Big Ten, there is a difference in PSU having a scholarship available, and having offered one to Noble. I am aware she is visiting. "bringing in" I assumed meant coming to PSU on scholarship. I think some chickens may have been counted prematurely.

Penn State finishes 32-3 starting 2 freshmen, 2 sophomores, 1 junior and 1 senior with a sophomore libero. Glass and Hodge only two players who stayed on the court all the time. Hodge finishes with 551 kills, Fawcett 483, [glow=red,2,300]MIDDLE Harmotto 316[/glow], MIDDLE Walbridge 189, and RS Sayler 177. The team finishes hitting .323 and Glass is just a good blocker? There have been a lot of young teams to finish as good, if not better and absolutely fizzled after the younger years... Arizona the most recent excellent example I can think of after their last Final Four.

Does not matter where Noble ends.....she will be a great addition to any team. She may pick PSU because her club buddy Faucett plays for PSU. Now ahe may decline because the "opportunities" for setting may be diminished. She may stay at OSU because it is closer to home and she has a better chance of starting. ESTRELLA

Yeh, with OSU's tradition of swiping setters from other collegiate programs, why would a high school setter ever think of becoming a Buckeye ?

Geesh AM why all this hostility for the Buckeyes? I dont think OSU has ever "swiped" setter's from other programs. If you are referring to Marisa Main she sought out other schools while she was trying to get her release from Xavier. From what I heard from her family OSU had no interest in her until she contacted them. She did not even join Ohio State until after the pre-season had started if my memory serves me correctly. Looking back at their other setters at OSU they all were recruited players out of high school not other colleges. Jen Flynn set and hit but won a world championship for Team USA as a setter, Laura Davis was National Player of the Year and took them to two final fours, Jen Boleyn (spelling???) set for a few years after Davis and Audrey Depronio was a Canadian way back in the late 80's. I can't think of any other's that would have come from another college. Try to get some of your facts straight before you slam them.

Well, Chelsea Noble will have to sit out a year per NCAA rules. That is what my source told me! And it looks like it is gonna be Penn State.

IB, name the team that finished better starting two freshman three sophs and a junior. Had to be in a final four. Also, if there were "alot" of teams who played in a regional final that young, could you please list? Thanks in advance.

This is the worst Final Jeopardy answer I've ever seen.

I'm definitely not in the mood to go nitpick over 30-years of rosters to make the likes of you happy. Why all of these restrictions all of a sudden? Regional Final? I'm sorry but your pathetic standards back east, especially with regionalization in the NCAA tournament, do not hold on the West coast. Year-in and year-out there are very good west coast teams that are as good or better than higher-finishing east/midwest-based teams.

IB, your beautiful. What your irritated about is being asked to back up your assertion. AS far as restrictions, you set them by saying teams finished "as high", which would be advancing to the regional final, or "higher" which would be reaching a final four. Yes you did mention Arizona, but your statement was "there have been alot of young teams that finished as high if not better" part of our "pathetic standards back east" are that the word "alot" means more than one. I can appreciate the fact that you don't have time to do the research, given the fact you have over 20 posts in the last 24 hours. Obviously if you don't have time to research, you made the statement without checking to see if it was accurate. Have you seen the latest ESPN commercial with the guys talking sports out of their you know whats?

OSU is bringing in a freshman setter who is the real deal- Betsy Hone. Can't imagine that Noble would want to come in with her. I have seen a lot of setters over the years, and Hone is at the top of that list. Haven't seen Noble since she graduated, but Hone as a senior is definitely better than Noble was as a senior-that is not meant as disrespect to Noble-she was/is also a great setter-but Hone has about 3 inches on her and is much more of an offensive weapon.

If it is true that she choose PSU, then the mumbo jumbo reason that she wanted to be close to home goes out the window. Advantage is that she will be with buddy Faucet and in the Big Ten (Mom and Dad can see her more). ESTRELLA

So does this mean that Ashley Hughes (Soph. setter) will transfer out so all the smack can regroup here? vbfan, have you seen Hone play extensively? How about Dull?
