Google doesn't give much about her. And neither does her old school's website.
If we have to put Roysland at OH, we are in trouble. It won't happen.

Whatever happened to
Jackson, Dee MB 6-2 Durant Plant City, FL Tampa Bay Juniors
?
I guess I was just surprised you only had 1 true senior, since most of the other classes are so large, so I looked up the 2004 class. I don't remember her.

She's retired, due to injuries. Still at the U as of this Spring. I assume she's going to continue. snickers, you have a bet.

snickers, you have a bet. I bet Cowles makes it to the front rotation before Roysland. Perhaps in dramatic fashion. Like in game 2 of the Final Four match against Penn State; Gophers ahead by one, 31-30, but we are out of substitutions so Cowles has to rotate to the front row insteady of Kyla. The fans are on their feet. Penn State receives, sets Hodge who smashing one directly at Tan who pops it up to Hartmann who has to bump set it out to Cowles -- her only option. Cowles winds up, and tools it high off the hands Penn State's middle for game point. Gophers go on to win in five. Oh Piniata -- thanks for the memories......

And now 7 DS/L on the roster? I would be surprised to see all of them back next year, outside of Roysland of course. Tan will be playing for sure. And more than likely Cowles. Hopefully this transfer can step in too. And one of our OHs can play a full rotation. I still think Dieter has a good shot at this.

That's my other bet: Dieter doesn't play much in 2007.

Unless they plan on redshirting Dieter in 2007, I will take that bet (R)uffdah.

Here's my reasoning (for all of this). Hagerty, Vatterrodt and Roehrig are all relatively inexperienced as OHs. If one or more comes up short, they're going to turn to someone they can trust. It's also likely that one or more will be shaky if asked to play all-around.
Now, I think Dieter is a great talent. I'm not sure, however, she's going to be ready to step right in. Nor am I sure, for the same reason, that the trust will be there.
So. Who does that leave? Yes, she has no D1 experience, but she was a very steady high school player. I think she'll be the same for the Gophers the more she plays.
Could I be 100% wrong? Heck, yes. But man will I look smart if it all pans out this way -- and, more than likely, no one will remember if it doesn't.
I will agree with one thing: I'm not sure it's good news for the Gophers if it _does_ go this way.

That's why I stopped making any predictions in May - because the VT archives only go back six months, when the end of the season comes and we're all intricately dissecting every detail of the year's events, no one can come back and check to see how I basically pull all of my predictions out of my assembly line of ill-advised thoughts.
