If I'm not mistaken...there are a lot of liberos in the mpsf and across the country that are still around from last year. Who's going to turn some heads this year? Is there anyone new this season that might make their mark? And how important is the libero position to the success of the team, it seems they contribute very little to the flow of the game compared to the other hitters.
Help me out, i want to be a good libero and need to know who to watch this season.

UC Irvine got a transfer libero from OCC named Greg Ford that is pretty good. UCSB has Aaron Mansfield who is extremely good. And USC has a redshirt freshman named Evan Burden, the younger brother of last years libero Greg Burden.

UCSB actually has two top class liberos in "passing machine" Aaron Mansfield" and "Digging everything" Alfie Reft.

I have to agree, Mike Gawlik is amazing on defense. He was also a great setter in high school too, too bad he is only about 5'10" or so, cuz he would have been a great setter in college. But he is an amazing libero, I am surprised he doesnt get more props from people.
