Okay, this post may be more Wahine fodder --- which I don't apologize for btw lol... but I was looking through the profiles today and Kaaihue, Brandt, and Otineru were all ranked #85 on the Senior Aces List... is that correct or is that some kind of typo??? Kind of ironic for any team to have three players ranked the same from three different yeasr of recruiting.
BTW, how does the SeniorAces list work anyway? How are the players picked and ordered? Panel? One person? Coaches?
And another interesting note: Mafua and Kaufman were ranked #25 and #27 respectively. I didn't know they were that high? Especially for Mafua, who I believe only made Honorable Mention All State. I'm guessing the list is more based on Club Achievements rather than high school?

That is a typo. Both Kaaihue and Brandt were #85, but Otineru was #95.

Wow, Otineru was ranked THAT low? I mean, I know it's not important or anything, but I thought she'd be a Top30 recruit?

BTW, how does the SeniorAces list work anyway? How are the players picked and ordered? Panel? One person? Coaches? Final say rests with PrepVolleyball.com editor John Tawa. He supposedly gets information from college and club coaches. In some cases I think the placements can be arbitrary, but in the "ballpark" of where they should be. For 2006 he had pairs of players one spot away from each other who were headed to the same school (Washington, Cal, and Minnesota). Here he is (red shirt with white stripes) crunching the numbers:

Nice butt shot. May be a little harder to spot in a crowd though BTW, how does the SeniorAces list work anyway? How are the players picked and ordered? Panel? One person? Coaches?
