There was a VERY nice video feed of the game on ASUN.tv, almost television good...
For those interested the scores were something like -14 -12 -12. Some observations:
- The announcers said that the coach told them that North Florida's goal was to get to 15 points each game...
- Interestingly Christal didn't play at all, I don't know if she's resting or she got beat out in practice this week.
- Looks like Deesing might have got a lil hurt during game 2, I think a hand.
-Bizzy Williams got some time coming in to serve, did well.
-Becky Perry continued to dominated from not only at the net but also on the service line. The North Florida announcers could not stop being in awe of her. She's damn good. She probably hit .600+ with a lot of aces. Prolly around 20 points all together.
-Stevie was very crafty, always seemed to find the open court
-I'm reinforcing my belief that Tama is our best player (though Becky is closing the gap). Tama had SEVERAL service aces and repeatedly got UNF out of system and made very long service runs every time she served. Granted UNF had terrible serve receive. But the positive is that UW seems to be making strides in serving, they made few errors. Going back to Tama, she had more spectacular digs that landed right on top of the setters heads(Jenna and Allison played).
-Allison set 1 and a half games and she has improved big time since last season. She is also good defensively so I think she'll get some DS playing time this year.
-Blocking wasn't the best tonight, but they got a lot of soft blocks which made for some nice transitions.
Anyways, for the husky fans out there, that's all i can think of right now. I'm guna watch it again later tonight to make some more observations.
