The Illini won in 4 @ Toledo today, but struggled in all four of the games. Brown & Aldi had good games hitting, but blocking, passing, and setting looked marginal. The overall freshman play was encouraging, especially Debrula. I would have thought and hoped the Illini would have blown this team out of the gym! Hopefully Don will continue to work on passing and some offense this week before the Badgers roll into town Wednesday!! Looks to be a longgggg Big Ten season for the Illni if they keep playing like they did today!

One thing you have to realize is that with injuries not only are you missing the injured payer but the whole team is being shuffled to cover for the injured player. Mix injuries with freshman starters and that makes for sometimes erratic play.
As for Wisconsin they'd be favored to win even if EVERYONE was healthy. But it's at Huff where beating Wisconsin is certainly doable if difficult.

Toledo is now where near any Big Ten team, yet the Illini struggled in all of the games. I wonder why Kump & Haen are not getting playing time? It's not like anyon

It's not like anyone in those positions is playing over the top?

Haen isn't playing because the players themselves said they didn't feel comfortable in the 6-2. Alde is considered ahead of Krump at this time so she's been switched to back up left where she saw some time against SIU.
I don't know what you expext with a young and injury filled team. While looking to improve they're cetainly not ready to compete for the upper level B10. We MIGHT be a top 50 team but at this time we're not much higher than that.
