Craig Davik apparently has been not asked to return to Mercyhurst.
From what I have heard many people are not surprised and look at this a positive move.
Hope they get someone with alot of energy...and allow them to only focus on the guys and not coach both!
It is a solid school with money to give in an excellent league.....hope they get someone who can take them to the next level! When I saw them they were two players short of be a solid competitive team.

Jose Martins (JR) the All American setter from Lewis University is looking for a coaching position. He is currently coaching a girls club team and holding camps through the summer. He is an awesome coach.

While you're at it....switch to the EIVA with all the other PA teams. (Carthage replaces in MIVA)

While you're at it....switch to the EIVA with all the other PA teams. (Carthage replaces in MIVA) From what I have heard, Carthage is looking to (or has already) join a league combining NAIA and Division III schools that do not include Clarke (current MIVA). The NAIA schools would play round robin, the Division III schools would play round robin and the Division III and NAIA would play once in a crossover. This would helped get matches for four Chicagoland (NAIA) schools, as well as Carthage, Milwaukee School of Engineering and other DIIIs joining. I know Clarke was looking to form a Division III league with some schools that they thought would move from club to varsity.

I'm pretty sure Carthage has joined the MIVA. MSOE is going DIII, bit not sure of they will be in MIVA or independent right away.
There was a meeting last Thursday, at IPFW I think, at which the schedule for next year was to be discussed.
Haven't heard the outcome yet.
I could see the MIVA aligning like the EIVA does and have 2 divisions (instead of the EIVA's 3) with the ability to move up or down based on record.
It would make sense for Mercyhurst to join the EIVA.

Curious as to why you think it would make sense for Mercyhurst to join the EIVA.
Geographically they are on either the western edge or eastern edge of either conference. In the EIVA they would probably start out in the lower segment of the conference and defacto have no shot at making it to the NCAA tourney where in the MIVA they wouldn't have to deal with that tiered system.
I wouldn't expect to see the MIVA doing what the EIVA does with their separate divisions. I could see them initiating an MIVA D3 mini conference though.

From my understanding Carthage has been granted MIVA membership on a provisional basis. Looks like the conference is looking ot make a few changes!!!

I just wanted to point out that MSOE has been d3 for the last couple of years, but they've been independent and not very good, picking up 2 wins 2 years ago, and i believe at most 2 last season.

Rumor has it that the first name being mentioned is Ryan Patton, the former coach at Juniata.
