Iowa outblocked Michigan 16.5 to 8.5.
So, not a great start for Michigan and a huge win for Iowa. Especially after finding themsevles down 0-2.
How will Michigan react when they come to MN on Sunday? Poorly, I hope (as a Gopher fan).

Yikes. How bad is Hawaii??? (just kidding ) Michigan has done nothing in conference yet... a 5 game home win over Illinois, swept at home by Wisconsin and now losing in 5 at Iowa. If the trend continues, Minnesota should sweep easily on Sunday. I do look forward to seeing Zimmerman set in person... she seems like a huge talent as a freshman.

said it before, michigan played a down/overrated hawaii to open the season, and an easy slate following, coupled with some other teams losing found them way too high in the rankings. they are talented, yes, but more like 20-25 n the country, not 10 or 11. This will be iowa's only big one -- and keep in mind michigan always has trouble there for some reason...

Iowa ought to make it into the top 25 next week.
Or perhaps Michigan totally overlooked Iowa in favor of trying to have their best chance against Minnesota - asuming the Hawkyes would be a walkover.

Purdue's sweep last week at Iowa looks even better tonight. Iowa had a couple of good nights (losing close to Minnesota).

Or Michigan is just incredibly overrated.
