Caguas defeat Ponce 3:2
27:25, 22:25, 17:25, 25:21, 15:10
With the win over #6 Ponce, the #8 Caguas secured an un-expected spot in the playoffs for the post season tournament.
The remaining six teams will play two matches each against each other. The top four ranked teams will enter into the semi-finals.
Caguas played 10 games in less than 24 hours in two marathon 5-game matches to win the #6 spot. for entry into the post season playoffs. #8 Caguas defeated #7 Lares in yesterdays a sudden-death encounter, and survived today's match against #6 Ponce.
Below is the account of the Caguas/Ponce match in the PRIMERA HORA newspaper in Spanish. Unfortunately, I will not have time for a good translation. I have therefore included a mechanical translation, which is horrible, but I guess something is better than nothing. Maybe some good soul on this forum can produce a more readable translation that makes better sense. I will post further developments when I have internet access for the next two weeks.

***************************************
