My bias? Personally I hate the way that Wilton lets some of his players behave. I just find you a hypocrite, because you have said that you and your friends behave just as badly. Congratulations on not flicking anyone off, but if you're going to flap your mouth don't get so surprised when players respond.

Students and their antics on and off the court. Some grow up and others don't. But it is and should be a students priviledge to root for his or her team. After that comes life and it is a little different.
What I want to know is after he flipped the bird three times did he grab his crotch? Becasue if he didn't grab his crotch It doesn't count as a classless act. Verna was up so there wasn't going to be any call.
But to the matches, Hawaii is just the better team. The Beach made way too many errors and I only saw the match on Fri night but the serving errors were down but the hitting errors were up. It amazes me that Ruben Acosta has made the men's game one of no errors. If a team can not make no errors they will be in the hunt. Somehow this differs from the original thought of sideout volleyball. I have to agree with the Ravinator, the new scoring system has hurt volleyball.
My condolences to the Hawaii fans for the state of the Pyramid during the series. I guess our Prez gave his good soldier his orders and the good soldier, our AD, decided to shutdown one sideline bleacher and keep the end bleachers open to contain cleanup costs. Why not shutdown the end bleachers and keep the sideline open? And they also shutdown one snack bar. Sorry for this sad state of affairs.
The worst is I received a postcard saying the LBSU men's team were playing the Hawaii Wahine! I wondered if the person knew the Hawaii men's and women's teams have different names or whether they benn to a match. So much for the ineptness of our Athletic Department.
The best teams I've seen this year are Hawaii and Pepp. Haven't seen the Eaters yet.

DID ANY OF YOU people calling me a cry baby EVER ATTEND A MAJOR COLLEGE in the United States? HECKLING IS A MAJOR PART OF THE COLLEGE ATHLETICS ATMOSPHERE... College sports wouldn't be what it is now without it! Have you been to a basketball game in college? HAVE YOU SEEN THE CAMERON CRAZIES at Duke University? They actually THROW SH** at the athletes... And I don't see any Maryland athletes flicking off the Cameron Crazies! i go to maryland and on my visit to the university i did get the chance to see a maryland game (i don't remember who it was because i don't really care for baskeball), so while i think you're a big whiner, i can say that i've been to a major college game. while it wasn't as racous as i'd expect the maryland-duke game to be, it was still pretty bad. anyway, i just wanted to answer your question. |
