By now most of you know by now that CSUN defeated UCLA. The Matadors defeated the Bruins in five games(23-30, 30-28, 30-23, 25-30, 15-12). I'll remember this match for quite a long time because it's been three years since we defeated them and I was impressed how CSUN hung in there to win three games from UCLA. I've always been a fan of JOE NARGI - glad he is playing in a position that suits him.
Way to go CSUN! :)
I was on the fence of not going after working late and going out for a five mile run so I decided to go since UCLA was on my way home. I'm glad I went.
As always many of you will continue to discount or brush off a CSUN victory(whether it's the men's or women's team) especially with UCLA racked up with injuries, but hey, win is a win and good job CSUN on finally winning at UCLA in Pauley Pavilion. Keep up the good work - next up is UCI. They're the number one team and this UCI team is nothing like the UCI teams in the past.
By the way - is there something in the water on UCLA Westwood campus that is making their sports team lose? First it was the football team, now the men's basketball(poor coach Steve Lavin - his time is about up) and volleyball team. Only team that is winning is their women's basketball team.
Go Matadors!

Well don't count the Bruins out yet. Because they are known to turn on the burners at tournament time.
I remember several years ago when they weren't doing to hot during the season, and they just turned it on at the end of the season and won the national championship.
Even though the Bruins might be hurting now, they might be back for tournament time.
So we can't count the Bruins out yet.

I am rooting for Northridge this year. This year seems to be a year of the typically lower ranked MPSF teams to make some noise. Irvine, Northridge, and Pacific all seem to be doing well this year.
I know its early in the season and all, but you have to figure that there are only 8 spots in the MPSF tournament. With this win, Northridge has really helped themselves to make that tournament. What is really weird is that UCLA might not make it, regardless of how good they get during tournament time. If UCLA doesnt get their act together soon, they way just be sitting at home during the post season.

Yeah it really looks like it is the year of the typically lower ranked teams. Just looked at the success of UC Irvine right now. And obviously Northridge and isn't UC San Diego playing awesome ball too right now even though they are in a different division.
But Pepperdine is starting to come around.
Seriously that is true that UCLA might not even make the tournament. How much losses does UCLA have already in the MPSF?
Wouldn't this be a first if UCLA doesn't make it?
Well I'm kinda rooting for the less traditional powers. But of course I'll still be rooting for my own school the Hawai`i Warriors.
GO WARRIORS!!!

You are right. I'm just trying to say that UCLA still has a chance and not to count them out yet. Because UCLA still has a chance to make the post season.
And if they do make the post season, that is usually when they play their best volleyball. That's all I'm trying to say.
But I'm aware that UCLA is in jeopardy right now of not even making the play-offs.
Just trying to keep everyone on their toes about UCLA and that they aren't fully out of it yet. But don't think I'm rooting for them because they are one of the Warriors biggest rivals.
GO WARRIORS!!!
