Does anyone know anything about the new DII - Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio? There is nothing on the schools website.
I just learned that my son's team has picked them up on their schedule for this year. Wilberforce is located south of Springfield, Oh and east of Dayton, Oh.

Central State has a winless womens team...tallest player is 5-10. Good luck to your son's team.

Central State is listed by the NCAA on its official website a men's Division II volleyabll schiil and is listed as being an unassigned (region) and an independent (no conference). Does that clarify things for you vb?
I'll ask the question again - does anyone know anything about this new DII men's volleyball program?

I believe that the addition of a Men's Volleyball program at Central State University will turn out to be a short lived thing. The University is planning on a return of their football program. It was supposed to take place this fall but has been delayed at least a year. I think the addition of Men's Volleyball was a way to meet NCAA requirements for Men's and Women's sport count.
I would be real surprised to see if football returns that they keep and build a Men's Volleyball team. One can only hope.

If you are looking for good D-3 teams definately look at Springfield and Juniata. For the last 3 years they have been battling for the Molten Championship (D-3 equivalent to the National Championship). Springfield won 3 in a row before Juniata won this past year. As it looks right now they are the favorites again this year. From what I hear Springfield has 3 returnign D-3 All Americans and a "sick" opposite from Puerto Rico. It should be a good battle
