I thought this would change things up a little. Found this article and thought it was amusing. news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&u=/ap/20041116/ap_on_re_us/fish_empathy_3&printer=1Talks about PETA trying to get people to stop eating fish. What? They have nothing better to do in their lives? I don't disagree that we can't wipe out fish, but stop eating them because we may hurt their feelings? Look I have pet fish, great animals to have in the house, beautiful, don't cr_p on your carpet. But you can't play with them, pet them, take em for a walk in the park. Plus, I love to fish in the Great North when I get the opportunity (Not that I care about catching fish, its about relaxing). I don't know, thought it was something different to share views on.

I wonder if Science proves that all the greens the PETA people eat to survive have feelings too, PETA will then choose to starve themselves to death?

Actually it has been shown that plants experience sensations and do react positively or negatively to various stimuli. So maybe plants have "feelings" too, but just very slow "reactions"? We should all just eat Soylent Green.

Solyant Green IS (PETA) people! I did not that. I guess there is a draw back on being a meat eater.

I hurt a fish's feelings once. I asked a Mahimahi out on a date, and then stood her up.

Did she fall over after you stood her up?
Is that how you hurt her feelings?
I've heard that fish don't stand upright on their fins very well.
Did she try to get you to do any tricks like spin a beach ball on your nose?

Did she try to get you to do any tricks like spin a beach ball on your nose? I've still got the Mahimahi's number if you're interested. Bring some teriyaki sauce with you on the date, Walleye Boy. No guarantees, though. Can't remember if that number was for the Mahimahi or a Mahumahu I met at Hamburger Mary's in Waikiki. Ask BiKtavius Octavadoodoo what a Mahumahu is.

When I was in high school, our dog got to chewing on the leaves of a Cannabis plant. He got quite loopy. Then he ate a whole box of doggie biscuits and passed out in the middle of the front yard.

One of my favorite Jack Handy deep thoughts: "I'm a vegetarian, not because I love animals, but because I hate vegetables."

One of my favorite Jack Handy deep thoughts: "I'm a vegetarian, not because I love animals, but because I hate vegetables." I have a similar favorite quotation from a Terry Pratchett book: "Most days Angua is a vegetarian. Though during full moons she tries very hard not to become a humanitarian." [ FWIW: Angua was a female werewolf. ]
