One would think with all the Bush hating people in the Country that Kerry would have a substantial lead in the polls right now but alas, he does not. In fact, he doesn't have a lead at all, Lol! www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5181338/ ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I guess all those "Bush hating" people listened to you BiK.

From the article: "The nature of presidential elections, which are conducted on a state-by-state basis for electoral votes, means that results of national surveys aren't necessarily indicative of an actual lead in the race."
A few times, the candidate with the second-most popular votes still ended up winning the Presidency because of our Electoral College system.
By the way, how does Electoral College's recruiting look for 2004 and 2005? Are Kellogg and Foluke in the running?

The Electoral College needs to go.
What is it? Total # of US Reps + 2 senators? The + 2 senators bit makes no sense.
Matter of fact, the Senate needs to go. It's a carryover from the House of Lords--and even the British relegated them to ceremonial status ages ago.

You say you want a revolution? Well, you know, we all want to change the world. John Lennon. It has the words "Chairman Mao" in the lyrics.
