Ok, this is a no win argument between us! You agree that everyone believed he had the weapons but for you the key word appears to be imminent. You believe he lied, I choose to believe that he honestly believed it to be true and felt he couldn't take the chance. So, I'm not going to convince you and you certainly aren't going to convince me!
I can't believe that you don't think Korea is a serious threat ... not only to the US but also a lot of other people as well.
We are a part of the world and have been for a very long time. A lot of countries forget how much a part of the world we are and have been. Where would they be without our help!!! It became "us" when "we" as a nation was attacked.

No. I don't agree everyone believed that. They went in front of the UN with bogus evidence, convinced no one, and then belittled everyone who would not goose-step along with us. Not what I said. They are not the PROBLEM. We chose to see it that way. The rest of the world was ready to see it as the world being attacked. "We are all Americans" they said. It took GW 3 months to piss all of that good will away.

That could be ... but are you willing to bet on that?!! Yes, I am willing to bet that North Korea is quite a few years away from developing the technology to acquire an intercontinental ballistic missile program. Given what I do now, and what I used to do when I was in the U.S. Air Force, I feel pretty confident about that. Not a whole lot of people know that, in the earliest days of the Cold War, when the Soviet Union first developed the ability to launch nuclear ICBMs, it was the United States that gave them the technology to maintain control and safety on their weapons.

When Bush decided to commit troops to Iraq, he had bi-partisan support from both houses of Congress. End of story.

You need to stop with the revisionist history lesson. When Bush decided to commit troops to Iraq, he had bi-partisan support from both houses of Congress. End of story. More excuses. 1) I don't care who supported Bush. Fact is, a LOT of them thought he would handle things differently. Even so, this is Bush's war. 2) He LIED. He lied to the American people, he lied to Congress, and he had Powell lie to the UN. 3) How many Congressmen do you think would have supported Bush if they had known his true intentions? If they had known the evidence was crap? If they had known he would ignore the advice of the inspectors? If they knew he would GO IT ALONE? But I still fail to see the logic of the recurring argument here. Fools followed Bush so what he did was alright. Or other fools did something similar, so it was alright. Or he was not responsible for what happened. Stop the excuses. He's incompetent at best, dishonest at worst (and probably both)--and I suspect you agree with me.

3) How many Congressmen do you think would have supported Bush if they had known his true intentions? Care to enlighten us what his "True intentions" were? You know, being that you have the "inside" scoop and all.

Actually it is funny. Woohoo! We agree on something. True but you're not even sly. I did miss that part ONLY because you added that part in later and edited your post while I was already responding. Clearly you only did that after realizing what a dufus you again exposed yourself to be with the automatic assumption that people must be always referring to how tiny you are. Sensitive, are we? And you're right, BiK. No need to be so ashamed of being short. You should shout it from the mountaintops. P.S. I think you meant "alluding" not "eluding....Doof! It certainly is fun!! Most fun I've had on this board in awhile. I always get a big laugh out watching you embarrass yourself. You go girl!

Care to enlighten us what his "True intentions" were? You know, being that you have the "inside" scoop and all. You really haven't been paying attention, have you B? His intention from the very start of his term was to get Saddam. It was personal for him. For BunkerBoy. For the Rumster. For Wolfie. And this is about the 20th time I've answered your question.

True, plus the only thing Kim Jong Il is concerned about is the survival of his regime. He knows that any pre- emptive ICBM strike against America or it's allies in the future will bring about the end of the DPRK. It is far more feasible to believe that terrorists could acquire weapons from North Korea and try to use it against American interests.

The only suspect here is YOU! If Bush is as stupid as you say he is, then Congress (yes, even those bleeding heart liberal tree-hugging, kumbaya singing, granola-eating, recycle-everything, everything is so rosy, Democrats you support) must be even MORE STUPID to have supported him. Can you give a proposed theory of HOW he lied to Congress and other world leaders? I mean, the intelligence coming out of Iraq prior to U.S. intervention did not just come from the CIA (which, you will say Bush had in his pocket to falsify data), but from multinational sources.

You have no idea whom I support. The Democratic Party failed this country. They should have stood up to Bush. They didn't. Why? They didn't have the guts. They knew the stuff was suspect at best. And a lot of it they knew to be manufactured. They used what fit their theory. You want an example? All the stuff they came up to support their ridiculous assertion that there were Iraqi-al Qaeda ties. All the stuff they came up with to support their dubious claims of a nuclear program. And they destroyed anyone who got in their way. Yes. I believe Bush is stupid. Unfortunately, he is surrounded by people who are not--just extremely dangerous men. I'm not sure I said he was stupid, however. I believe incompetent and dishonest were my adjectives.

First you say you're no longer going to respond to my posts untill I "grow up". Then you seek attention from me by responding to my posts. This "I love him, I love him not" phase that you are going through is embarrassing. There is only one person embarrassing themselves and that is you. This is nothing more than a game to me. You take yourself to seriously Islandgirl, Loosen up! Obviously you're the one with the problem. I'm laughing too, not with you, AT YOU. ;D. Btw, thanks for the spelling correction. I stand corrected. Oh, thanks for the "You go girl" remark. If you are trying to insult me, you need to do a better job. I don't have self esteem issues.

Ah...ok, so you don't like Bush, and you don't support the Democrats either.
You don't live in a tiny cabin in Montana writing 10,000 word manuscripts that you send off to the New York Times, do you?
