I heard a radio commentary today that Bin Laden has offered something like 22 pounds of gold as a reward for someone killing Bremer.
Supposedly at the current world price of gold that amounts to something in the ball park of $137,000.00.
The US had already put a reward out for Bin Laden that was $25 - 30 million dollars.
An "interesting" difference in the amounts of the rewards.
Not sure what it means really, but it didn't seem to show that Bin Laden was overly serious about the reward in placing it that "low"?
Has anyone else heard anything regarding this offered reward?

Gold is $380 a pound right now... 12 troy ounces in a pound. 22 pounds (now... if Bin Laden was being tricky, and using English pounds instead of troy pounds, then there is a problem, as a troy pound is about 80% of an English pound by mass). Which would put the reward at about $80k). = $100,320... but, if gold prices increase, then you could add another 40% or so, tops. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I'd ask for 22 pounds of Microsoft stock.

You would think he'd be easier to catch if he's out there lugging a bunch of gold around.
Ever tried to buy a Slurpee with gold?
