Based on the article, they drew an unwarranted conclusion.
According to the article, they tested repeated, low doses of caffeine against no caffeine.
From that, (and the observed results), all you can conclude is that small doses of caffeine throughout the day is better than no caffeine at all, when trying to stay alert for 29 hours.

Carrots cause cancer.
The vast majority of people that have developed cancer have consumed some form of carrots or carrot byproducts.

I eat a lot of carrots and in fact, I just put three sticks of them in my homemade chicken noodle soup.
