To Vollette; Some people who post here aren't afraid to meet other people from this forum and talk about our sons' and daughters' teams at the games too. Cruisin had a good run last year with his predictions and I for one enjoy his posts. At many games last year were vbmom , me , bookum , cruisin and aaron too. Everyone has opinions and this is a fun place to discuss them. Please use other forums to use negativity. Now for some predictions for this week . Long Beach will have a tough time with Pacific's serve and probably lose at Pacific , but if Toppel is still out will get a win at Stanford . UCI will rebound after last weeks loss to Northridge and beat USC. Northridge will split at Hawaii. UCLA will lose to Pepperdine and beat USC. UCSD will lose both games up north ,but again ,if Toppel is out Waller and team may pull off an upset. BYU should not have any trouble with UCSB either. And if I am wrong it really doesn't matter because these are just MY opinions.

Hey mvbdad,
Always enjoyed your posts and views. Hmmmm I do like your predictions, and agree with all except Northridge vs Hawaii. I think Northridge will lose both matches.
These predictions are a lot of fun, and anyone who recognizes team strengths & weaknesses can do quite well if they study ALL the teams and are not clouded by team loyalties. Naturally, on any given night, the best team could lose to a weaken team due to errors, injuries, etc., but in evaluating the momentum of each team, you can usually predict the outcome.
I know for a fact that mvbdad is VERY knowledgeable when it comes to volleyball, and it will be very interesting to compare weekly predictions with him.

mvbdad, Great post.  I don't post much for men, because I'm still taking it all in. But, from what I do know and what I've seen. Hawai'i will sweep Northridge at Hawai'i. Keep on posting, I enjoy your remarks and the others you've mentioned. |

I love all the posts on the men's board except Idaho Boy because he's a meany. He's so mean to me I could burst into tears any second. I don't know why he's so mean to me. I never bothered him. I keep asking myself, is it me? Did I do something to get on his bad side. That reminds me, is Idaho Boy really a boy or is a girl masking herself as a boy. I've seen this happen. Or is he a boy who can't get himself to be a man? Either way, I am concerned for him and feel sorry for him. Why spread so much unhappiness and negative energy? I think that's not very nice. If he had good parents, he would 've been raised properly and given a spanking when he was little if he did something naughty like he did on this board against me by attacking a total innocent. Who are his parents anyway? Are they from Idaho and do they really like potato?

Tonight Hawai'i gets redemption and split the two-match series or CSUN just might step it up and defeat them again. It would be great if CSUN does that - something they have never done before in years. Go Matadors! LOL at the above post. You were right on mvbdad on the Hawaii vs Northridge split. I bow to your predictions this week. I was 8 - 1 and you were 9 - 0. We both have Pepperdine beating UCI tomorrow, so it was a good week.
Do you have the guts to predict next week matches? I already posted my predictions on the "Long Beach takes Stanford in 4. Tarr Tears up" thread. Check it out and please post your guesses.
Does anyone else want to play the guessing game? ;D

Hey Crusin , I think we tied last week because I thought your other love would beat UCSB both nights and they split ,sweeping each other. Let's see what this week will look like!!!!!!

Ha ha ha ha...mvbdad, you crack me up. Thanks for being honest in your predictions of last week. We tied, didn't we? Well bucko, this week will tell the tale, because according to my list (I'm keeping track of EVERYONES predictions), you and I disagree on three matches, so we'll see who will prevail. As soon as all the matches are played, I post this week's winner on the "Predictions" thread. There are 7 fans who submitted their predictions, and hopefully, we'll get more to participate in the future. So far, the 7 are: vballmom, vballah, Beachy, SweetieVBfan, roofan, mvbdad, and vbcrusin. Even after my posted predictions, not one of these fans agreed totally with me. Northridge swept Long Beach tonight, so there were only 4 of the 7 right on that one. Good luck to all teams and prognastigators. Next week will REALLY be fun, especially when Hawaii and Pep goes at it. I post my next week predictions on Sunday. Later Pep Dude.  |
