An article regarding a memo sent to GWB in January of 2002 that warned him of the possibility that his administration could be charged with "war crimes" as a result of their new measures used in the war on terror. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4999734/This link is a scan (in PDF form) of the actual memo GWB received in January of 2002 from White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales. It mentions that "the secretary of state" advises against deciding to treat suspected Taliban and Al Qaeda prisoners as not being POW's and thus not covered by the Geneva Conventions. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4999148/site/newsweekThis link is a scan (in PDF form) of Colin Powell's actual response. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4999363/site/newsweek
