;D ha ha ha ha ha......................ha ha ha ha ha................ha ha ha ha ha...................ha ha ha ha ha...............ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha HA! Well, i have to agree with you midwestfan. the MIVA does suck except for Lewis. They are the only ones that have had any balls throughout the years. Loyola, Quincy loosing to NAIA teams tonight, and IPFW and Ball State both losing to GMU this weekend, and Ohio State playing the school for the blind as usual. Yes, it is official, the MIVA SUCKS! ha ha ha ha ha ha..................ha ha haha ha.

Mason's Shaun Powell can be freaky good on offense, but he can also be freakin' horrible defensively. Hope he stays healthy this year, & that Fred can coach some consistency into his game.

GM isn't THAT bad... when Shawn Powell is on he is a freakin stud. GM is not bad at all and Shawn Powell is a very good opposite. But he only had nine kills against Ball State. I guess I didn't have anything to base it on except prior years but I was expecting more from Ball State. And yes, I know it is only Jan. and there is a lot of volleyball left. My statement was uncalled for. Sorry, I didn't mean to open the door for uCANbsME (and obviously someone has ;D ! )and his Lewis is the greatest and the rest of the midwest isn't propaganda.

"Propaganda"? UM, SORRY! But the results speak for themselves. Who won the MIVA last year WITHOUT Jose Martins, WITHOUT Gustavo Meyer, with James Elsea injured and about 75% the whole season, with a green setter that had practically a broken thumb? Who did that? Oh, yeah. That was Lewis. Who just swept Ball State last week in 3? Oh, yeah. That was Lewis. So even if you believe that Lewis cheated or had illegal players when they won the 2003 championship, they have still proven to be the best in the MIVA even without those players. And Midwestfan, YOU ARE RIGHT. Most of the MIVA sucks!

Yes - Mason should have a solid team this year. A lot of the current guys have been playing together for some time now. I believe they only lost their libero last year (who was a good one, but basically didn't even play last year due to injury). In addition to Powell, Mason has Felix Campos (who was among the nation's kill leaders last season), Dave Egan (who is an all-EIVA setter), and Matt Steinfurth (skinny guy but a strong blocker). Keep the updates on Mason coming. I followed the team and went to their games when I was living in VA the last few years, but am no longer in the area. I saw in the stats that Steinfurth didn't play - Is he out with injury? And Campos hasn't brought his game yet - what's going on with him? Anyone out in VA offer some insight/comments? Would appreciate it. From Mason's website - the team is nationally ranked for the first time in almost 10 years. gomason.collegesports.com/sports/m-volley/spec-rel/012505aaa.html

Oh, yeah. That was Lewis. I missed it...did someone say they didn't win the MIVA last year? Again, is this some kind of roll call? You're going to hang your hat on a 3-0 sweep of Ball State as proof of greatness? I DO believe they cheated. So does the NCAA. I believe Deuser is delusional. Good coach, but delusional. And how much of those players going to Lewis was due to the fact that they probably couldn't get in anywhere else? Again, THAT's what you're going to hang your hat on? Um...so?
