Very interesting. UCLA is a unanonmous top choice. Pepperdine, BYU, and Hawaii are only 6 points apart. BYU will play UCLA this week.

My fav is seeing a team with 1 win vs. 6 losses in the top 15.
Who was the win over?

People on this forum complain way too much about the whole win-loss top 15, top 10 issue. In any other NCAA sport, women's volleyball, men's basketball etc, if the majority of top 15 teams only played matches against other top 15 teams the entire season then its a simple fact that some would have losing records. That doesn't take away from the fact that they would still be one of the top 15 teams in the nation. The problem isn't how the ranking system works, its title IX and other factors that contribute to the lack of D1 men's programs.

Being ranked #10 on the AVCA Men's Volleyball poll is equivalent to being ranked #113 on the AP or USA Today Football Poll.
So I don't know what the whole fuss is about. I look at who's ranked #1-3, and discard the rest. Any team ranked from 4 to whatever the poll goes down to now just sucks a little bit less this year than the sucky teams ranked below them.

Dang, who the hell did UOP play to get a 6-3 record so far this year? Did they sign up for the Stockton rec league and forget to tell the AVCA?

Speaks for itself.: www.pacifictigers.com/MensSports/Volleyball/schedule.htm I've always compared the MPSF to the NBA where the last place team is good enough to knock off the first place team if they don't play their best. Some of the teams with poor records have scared a lot of the teams with the better records, and when the 2nd cycle of matches come around there may be some surprises.

Pacific seems to be 2-2 in conference, 2-1 vs conference teams at EBar, and the 2 joke matches vs UCSC & Stevens... So take away those 2 and they still have a 4-3 record vs MPSF teams...

Yup, looks like UOP is currently in the Alpha Male position of the MPSF bottom-feeders.
Better watch out for UCSBVballDoggie69 and the rest of Preston's Abercrombie & Fitch Squad. Someone will light their short hairs pretty soon, or more of the Isla Vista mini-top wearing, low-slung jeans so I can show off my butterfly tattoo on the small of my back, hoochies may inspire team Hurry Up and Lose So We Can Get To the Partying to ascend to the throne of King of the MPSF bottom feeders.
There is no hope for USC, though. Cellar again this year.
