Here's a first. UCI Mens Volleyball Team will host a pot luck dinner for the Hawaii Warriors after the second match on Saturday. Over the years the Hawaii Mens Program has hosted many after game pot luck dinners for the visiting teams. Plenty of "good grinds" - from Katsu Chicken, Korean Kal Bi Ribs, Chow Fung Noodles, Teriyaki Beef and Chicken and of course my favorite. Liliha Bakery Coco Pups. Don't forget the cases and cases of Hawaiian Sun Soda. I know the young Anteaters enjoyed their dinner hosted by the Warrior Boosters last year, as well as being there for Senior Nite the following nite. Hawaii even acknowledged UCI's Seniors that night. ONLY IN HAWAII. I think this is the first time a California Team has hosted an after game pot luck dinner with a visiting team. Just another Class Act Gesture by John Speraw's UCI Progam. I WONDER WHAT'S ON THE MENU? Bookumdanoaloha.

Kudos to UCI.
Best of luck to both teams and a good luck of the pots.

What's the menu? KFC? Mexican?

My top secret inside source says pizza, subs and pasta. He refused to divulge Speraw's blocking scheme for this weekend despite my threats to take away his bike. My condolances to the Hawaiian Nation on the recent passing of Uncle David. His Aloha will be missed.

Isn't a "potluck" with a theme kind of against the principle?

After games I always see Hawaii booster club members carrying humongous containers of food back to the arena for the potlucks. If I was a visiting athlete from another team, I'd love to come to Hawaii.
