The NCAA Volleyball on CSTV Schedule (all times ET)
Saturday, January 29 - Ohio State at Penn State, 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7 - Hawaii at Long Beach State, 10 p.m. Friday, April 15 - Brigham Young at Stanford, 10 p.m.
What a joke!! CSTV running out of money? They haven't been able to sell CSTV to the cable companies, and now they are downsizing volleyball.
Oh well.....back to the Hawaii webcasts.

I wish more of the cable companies would pick up CSTV as a station. In addition, people that I know that have DirecTV have horrible reception when the weather is bad. I will keep pushing my cable company . . .

Food for thought:
Maybe the schedule is thin because the schools have to pay for the right to have games broadcast. It costs something like $6000 for the home team and $3000 for the visiting team for the regular season games.

AND CSTV wants us all to push to get the local cable companies to carry? (then CSTV is sold for mucho $$$) Am I missing something here? How do I start a business like this?

(then CSTV is sold for mucho $$$) I've also heard things like that about other sports. That's why it's so hard to get them on TV because it costs so much money.

I believe this is the case for most sports and networks. You have to pay to be on TV. For the larger sports, I think the conference picks up the cost.

Trust me the MIVA is not playing any of the cost of the TV production. It is all up to the school.

For the smaller sports like men's volleyball, the school picks it up. But for the larger sports (football, basketball) I believe the conference picks it up, that's why those sports are on TV all the time. Because of the TV deals.
