I registered: Where is my password?
This has been an annoyingly common problem, especially with the implementation of spam filters on most free-hosted email accounts. In order to get around this problem, here are some simple steps to try.
If these suggestions do not work, please email me at: VolleyTalkAdmin@hotmail.com.
After you register your account name, an email will be sent to the account you specified for email. On occasion, someone enters an incorrect email address, if this is the case for you, your password will never make it. So please be careful here.
If you believe you may have done this, and want the username you registered with a wrong email address, send me an email. This forum does not allow for duplicate usernames for obvious reasons.
I entered my email correctly, but still no password:
Double-Check the "Junk Mail" filter of your account. Most free emails (especially hotmail) have a Junk Mail folder. The password will be sent from a "@proboards.com" email address with the display name "Volley Talk."
If that doesn't work, and there have been many occasions that it has not:
Go to this URL.
volleytalk.proboards35.com/index.cgi?action=reminder
Enter the username you registered with (Remember, it is CaSe SenSitIVe) and type it in and click "Retrieve Password." 80% of the time, this will do the trick.
I did the above, but still no password!
It happens that there are still problems registering even after trying all that we can at the user interface level. No fears, I have a few extra tricks as the moderator and can get you a password.
What I need from you:
An email to VolleyTalkAdmin@hotmail.com
Subject: Password Request (or something of the sort)
Include the following in the body:
Username: JoeVolleyBall Please try to remember case sensitivity, but not critical.
Email: JoeVB@hotmail.com The email that you used to register the account. I will not correspond with you to a different email than this one. Please use the email you registered with to contact me.
