As somewhat of a computer invalid, I was wondering how to spruce up my postings, mainly how to quote multiple people (get that box around it)...
Also, with all of the "tag" buttons... in order to make them work, do you need the text highlighted?
Sorry if this is basic and pathetic!

As somewhat of a computer invalid, I was wondering how to spruce up my postings, mainly how to quote multiple people (get that box around it)... Unless the upgrade has changed something, you can have multiple "quote" and "end-quote" tags. If it's like most systems with quoting, if you just use the "quote" tag, without any arguments like "author=xyzzy" or "board=hoHum", you should just get a plain old box. If you want to quote multiple people, you should be able to use the "author=otherPerson" tag/argument inside the quote tag-code. Remember to properly close any quote with a /quote tag, of course. Also remember to properly nest them. I just tried this (below), and putting in just the "author=person" argument doesn't get anything but a plain old quote-box (no attribution). Let's see what happens when you put in all the info....Yup... that works. Of course, if you're quoting multiple people, you may not have all the information (thread and post numbers in particular). I wonder whether it does error-checking, or just let's you put in whatever you want...Ah... I see. It doesn't complain. It uses the board, thread, and post arguments to find out the time the post was made. Also, with all of the "tag" buttons... in order to make them work, do you need the text highlighted? It may depend on your browser. InternetExploder, and Mozilla Firefox should work properly if you select/highlight the code you want to boldface, italicize, or whatever, and then click on the appropriate tag button. Of course, if you want to just put in the tags yourself, you can do that. I almost never add tags through the select-and-click method.
