I made a post this morning that has a short (one-sentence) quote from a multi-paragraph volleyball anecdote from a subscriber-only New York Times column by David Brooks. I assume that's OK under "fair use" (and so would a link to another newspaper site that pays the New York Times to run his columns).
If someone posted the several volleyball-related paragraphs, would that be wrong? If someone posted a link to another blog that did the same, would that be wrong? I ask partly because someone else may do it and partly to learn the rules.
