How does anyone get a hold of the pictures taken at the games . I take pictures ,but I am not allowed to use strobe, but Volleyball mag and school photogs are set up at the gyms with a system above. Are there any places we can go to find out about pictures???

I've used 400 (pushed), 800 and 1600 speed film to eliminate the use of the flash and the prints have come out fairly good.
Some photographers are contracted by the schools, so you could start there by perhaps contacting the AD. As for VB Mag, I guess contacting the magazine directly is also an option.

If you go to the Pyramid for a LBS match, often there's a middle aged guy, a bit scruffy, who uses a very long white lense and stands at the very top of the stands away from the scorer's table. He's quite friendly. He shoots for the best magazines, in addition to his NFL, Olympics and other major sports work. You might want to approach him to see if he'd share some images, or sell them to you. I wish I knew his name, but you'd easily find him.

I've used 1600 speed film with no flash in some pretty ratty looking gyms and have gotten some decent results. I use the cheap Costco developing so I don't even try to do anything fancy. At the Pyramid, there is a flash that goes off at certain intervals, so you can time your picture from that if you are good enough. Look up during play and you will see if go off and just time the intervals. Good Luck!
