Tonight's game between LBSU and CSUN just started ten minutes ago. I'll be there and hopefully the match will still be going on when I get there in 45-50 minutes - still at work. Good luck CSUN(Northridge) - hope you win against the Beach. By the way - there was a nice short article on the CSUN mens team in todays(02/19/03) Los Angeles Daily News. Too bad it isn't on the online edition. It is always nice to see some kind of coverage on volleyball - the article was okay, could've been better but it will do for now. In addition, my friend told me there were posters around the CSUN campus promoting tonight's match - thumbs up to the athletic department for doing some kind of promotion...something they haven't done in years for the men's and women's team. Go Matadors!

Lookin' good CSUN. I didn't see much of the match and saw the tail end of game three when it was 23-21 or something like that. From what I saw game three was a tight game - can't compare it to the other two games I missed, but I really like how CSUN is playing with lots of energy and excitement. Vballmom - one of these days we might just see each other in real time. You like working at CSUN? Good job Matadors! CSUN won in 3 - 30-23, 30-23, 30-28.

Although I admitted to a Long Beach bias, I think I still cast votes for all the wrong teams tonight. I am 0-2 in my predictions. Honestly, I do know more about volleyball than that! ....or at least I thought I did!

Hey vball818 , I think you're confusing vballmom with me. I should have checked the schedule b/c I was at work tonight until 7:30 - could have watched part of the game. Not sure about signage around campus, although they did have posters at the beginning of the season in the hallways. And, of course, I've got the posters (plus AVP and others) hanging in my office, although I was discouraged from bringing in my Pepperdine, LBSU and UCLA posters which are in my home office. Tonight was some sort of rush event for frats and sororities. Were there a lot of students attending the game as well?
To answer your question, yes, I do like working at CSUN. I'm there full-time now and enjoy almost every minute. In part, I think I really like the academic setting, where the quest for knowledge is admired and rewarded. But the people I work with are good folks, too.
We'll eventually meet up, I'm sure.
