And we used to think a Tachi at $53 was expensive! A Tachikara might last part of one season. It is leather (it will absorb sweat) and powerful hitters make them eggs. Back in the day, I used to work for a leather coat company. We sold leather protectant spray that protected the hide from rain, spills, etc. Has anyone ever tried spraying their leather ball with such a spray to keep sweat from being obsorbed? Funny story... I actually had a teammate ruin my tachikara by stumbling into the hotel room after the bar. We were all asleep, except for me. I heard something like water running, I sat up in bed to find him urinating on my gym bag which had my ball inside. :oHe thought he was in the bathroom... Anywho, I washed the ball off but the leather got hard and was ruined. I wonder if a leather protectant spray would have saved it?
