Feb. 28 Ball State's Nick Meyer OA, So., 6-8, Cincinnati, Ohio (Moeller High School)
Ball State outside attacker Nick Meyer (So., 6-8, Cincinnati, Ohio, Moeller High School) has been selected as the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Player of the Week. Meyer helped the Cardinals to a pair of home wins last week over IPFW, 3-1 (30-25, 30-19, 21-30, 30-19) and Findlay, 3-0 (30-28, 30-27, 30-27). He produced a career-high 28 kills against IPFW while hitting .353. Meyer added seven digs, four assist blocks, two aces and an assist against the Mastodons. In the Findlay match he had 11 kills while hitting .176. Meyer contributed six digs, four assist blocks, one ace serve and an assist against the Oilers. For the two matches (seven games), Meyer produced 39 kills for a 5.57 per game average and a .282 hitting percentage. He totaled 13 digs (1.86 per game) and eight total blocks (1.14 per game). In the two matches, Meyer averaged 6.57 points per game.

Yeah Meyer confuses teams...for a 6'8 guy you think he would get up pretty good, but he hits the ball just above the tape...congrats anyway on an impressive 28 kill match

so how do you get player of the week for hitting so badly against quincy? hmmm, oh wait, i saw that no one else really played that week. maybe carthage's whole team should player of the week for kicking the living crap out of that team.
