So, watching the women's beach volleyball over the past week, just about every team the USA plays will slap hands with them on the side change, except the Brazilian teams.
What a bunch of stuck up biatches. I think they need to be held down on the sand and given Wet Willies until they lighten up.

What about the Georgia team of Cristine Santanna and Andrezza Chagas? They are both originally from Brazil too.

Beg to differ Bob. Real players only acknowledge players at the end of a game, not during as you are implying. It is....How do I phrase this delicately--stupid if not totally gay. Nothing is wrong with hating your opponent. Big deal. How many people on this board would slap hands with you?

Apparently, earlier in the day, they kicked out May and Walsh out of the practice courts. Glad they got their asses kicked.

Sounds like they were on the practice court first - why should they have moved over? Would May and Walsh have moved if the positions were reversed?

Actually, on the rare times I did dabble in the beach game, I instituted the tradition that both teams should grab each other by the buttcheeks when changing sides. You saying Walsh and May aren't real players, then? They slapped hands with every other team whose butts they kicked in pool play on every side change, EXCEPT the Brazilians.

Beachdude believes in the Cobra Kai approach to beach volleyball.
We do not train to be merciful here! Mercy is for the weak! (YES SENSEI!!!!!)

Hah. Even Karchie mentioned the low-five thing in international beach ball. He mentioned how most teams do it, but in the semifinal between the Chinese teams, the teams were avoiding each other on the side changes and not doing the low fives.
That semifinal was an incredible match, both Chinese teams in an epic battle. Who says standing float serves don't work in the modern era? Both teams launching bombs from the service line.

Wow I learned something new...so if you don't slap hands on cross-over that's bad beach volleyball manners? Geez sometimes I or my oppoenents don't that if I'm in a beach vball tournament - doesn't bother me, but obviously it bothers others - to each their own.

You should really give the buttcheekgrab thing a try at your next tournament. After some initial distate from your opponents, you will find that they will warm up to it and actually encourage it after awhile.
