Thank you! This was not there when I checked this morning. Guess they did some shuffling when USA got into the finals. Thanks again.

I've been using their email/cellphone alert system with generally good results. The problem is that NBC has exhibited an unforgivable editorial laziness in publishing accurate schedule information. All the neat mobile-alert gimmick systems in the world won't do any good if someone in the production room doesn't feed the system accurate data. I guess it's true what they say, "Garbage in, MSNBC out".

I just went to the CBC site and tried to watch a live broadcast and it didn't work. How are some of you able to access these broadcasts?

It is sad to me that in the US, they are showing/have shown the men's and women's basketball gold medal finals live, the women's volleyball bronze medal live, the men's soccer gold and bronze medal games live, the men's baseball gold medal game, softball gold and bronze medal games, both beach volleyball gold medal matches live, but neither volleyball gold medal match is live.

I can only access the links through my cell and they are not complete. Can someone tell me what est time the match will be on tape delay? Is it 10 am est on NBC?

Honestly, it's better for the sport for these matches to be in prime time or later in the AM -- when more people will be watching. It sucks for us, but it's great for the sport. Okay, I just created an account for the sole purpose of responding to this post. There is such a thing as showing it live AND tape delay in prime time. I am so livid at how much tape-delay coverage NBC has and the fact that we are pretty much the only country that broadcasts the Olympics taped. It's made even worse for West Coast people like myself who don't get a single thing on NBC live (everything is three hours later like it was Grey's Anatomy or something). I know if I was trying to talk somebody into watching the gold medal match(es) with me, it would be much easier if I could tell him or her we were going to watch it live rather than it was going to be 22 hours tape delay (in the men's case). And, especially if we win, I don't know how people are not going to know for 22 hours.

how do u know it's 4 pm est? The NBC site says 10 am est with live basketball followed by volleyball and other sports. Maybe it's in this order so the match could be on tv around 12 or 1?

I just went to the CBC site and tried to watch a live broadcast and it didn't work. How are some of you able to access these broadcasts? CBC is on basic cable where I live. Seattle is close enough to Vancouver BC that the Vancouver CBC affiliate counts as an over-the-air broadcast station, and thus must be included in basic cable. Right now they are showing kayaking.

CBC now broadcasting 4th set. I had expected the whole match and I woke up early enough on a Saturday all set to tape the match. Lo and behold, they show track and of course kayaking because Canada had a medal hopeful there. Guess I shouldn't complain --- thank goodness for on-line streaming. I wasn't disappointed there.

Yeah, I was hoping they would show more of it live, but they did show the entire fourth set with only a short tape delay.

I'm not sure what NBC's reasoning is for not showing it on one of their cable stations. BUT if the option is live at midnight or taped in prime time, the latter is better for the sport. Lousy for VB fans, but better for the sport.
