The real question is if Pepp loses to Beach in the semis and Beach wins out (beats UCLA in the finals) who gets the at large, UCLA or Pepp? Both would have lost to the same team and usually MPSF regular season winner gets the at large even if they lose early. Although with the way UCLA has been playing I actually give Northridge a very legit shot at an upset in the first round.

If Pepperdine loses to Long Beach I would guess UCLA has to win in order to make the tournament. The head to head versus Pepperdine could cost them. I think Al is rooting for himself first and Pepperdine second because if Pep wins I would guess UCLA based on record and the fact they are hosting (yes that does get taken into consideration) are a lock for the at large.
Penn State is a lock for the EIVA, and Loyola has to be favored for the MIVA, but... They have to beat an IPFW team that has taken them to 5 games twice already this year, and even though they are at home I think the finals against either Ball St. or Ohio St. will be tough particularly since the pressure and expectations are all on Loyola's shoulders.

Yea I can't imagine how devastating it would be for Loyola to lose in their conference tournament after the year they have had and not go to the final four.

Well the 5th seed has on occasion beaten the 4th seed, but based on the way Findlay played against OSU on Friday I think its a long shot they will beat IPFW.
Findlay has some decent athletes, but as a team they just arent playing very well right now. Even CJ who has had a great year was pretty bad. Bottom line after playing each other twice teams have pretty much gotten an idea about opponent strengths and weaknesses. I think IPFW is in much better shape to exploit those things than Findlay is right now.
