Maybe?
But here we go LB 9-3 commanding lead.....stir it up!
Game 3 pretty much a slug fest with no defense. both teams at .500 or better. 19-17 LB....here comes Pepp

wow that's pretty odd, Pepperdine got 4 ball handling errors in a row early in the 3rd to give LB a good lead.

Winder has forgot Hein.....guy was a monster the first two games.
Hein .900
What does it matter when it counted Rooney comes through. LB at least played better. Too bad that LB couln't get out of the gates.
I'm afraid that its all over for Beach this year.
YYYYOOOUUUCCCCLLLLLLAAAAA will make it in.
I'm rooting for a Pepp PSU final!

and Pepperdine wins game 3 30-27 and the MPSF championship... Looks like it was a fantastic offensive showing tonight by Pepperdine all around. Hein 10-0-11 .909, Mayer 10-1-16 .562, Rooney 16 kills .429, Parfitt 13 kills .586....
Great work by LBSU's middles, but nothing spectacular out of the rest of them. Good season LB, see you next year...

Too bad Long Beach - you're the odd man out. Long Beach 10 losses on the year. UCLA 5 losses on the year. Head to head- UCLA 2-1 (both wins 3-0). Done deal after 49ers lose 3-0 to Pep

the beach did not pass well at all. hildebrand was running all over the place and so his setting wasnt that good, but he was also trying to do way too much. budinger was automatic. tarr played well and really pounded some balls. sliti sucked really bad. he could not hit a ball in the court.
pepperdines block was huge. rooney is a monster. and mayer, who looks like a midget out there, was coming through with a lot of kills.
long beach was up big in both games 1 and 3 and pepp came back. pepp killed em in game 2. pepperdine simply wanted it more. and those who said pepperdine plays with no emotion are wrong. they were very fired up tonight.

Well, I guess Pepperdine splashed cold water on the hottest team in college volleyball. Too bad for LB - I'm looking forward to the day that Alan Knipe gets his first title. But UCLA's record and the Finals being at UCLA will likely prevail for the At-Large spot
Pepp will no doubt get to play Ohio State in NCAA semis and UCLA or whoever is the At-Large will get Penn State.

Still no way that you "reward" a team that lost IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE CONFERENCE PLAYOFFS, at home to a team that was clearly inferior. Long Beach deserves to go to the FF, clearly the better team between them anad UCLA

Actually UCLA & PEPP do have something in common this year- they both beat LONG BEACH 2 out of 3 times this year. OUCH!

Long Beach deserves to go to the FF, clearly the better team between them anad UCLA So you were NOT upset at all in 2000 when Long Beach State, as the #1 seed, did not get the at-large bid? No griping at all on your part, because, after all, they did suffer a bad loss to a clearly inferior Loyola Marymount team? And... if Long Beach State is "clearly" a better team than UCLA, then why was UCLA able to sweep Long Beach State TWICE this season? Was there some key 49er player that was hurt or something that we don't know about?

The Beach will make it! They deserve it. Why would the selection committe decide to use weigh the W/L record more than health of team, knowing how CSULB has played down the stretch and how UCLA has imploded and is not healthy. The committe will use the 2000 case as an example and bounce the bruins from their own party. As should be if you lose in the opening round and your starting setter is done for the year. Why would the committe do that??? Why wouldn't the reward the team that has been playing the best down the stretch and has a chance to win it. Arron Dodd is going to lead the bruins to a title?? The committe will look at this and laugh........If the they are considering the bruins on W/L record then Loyola should go over them and they made it to the semi's. But, in reality no committe member can justify a tam in the FF that can not win the first roun d at home. I know all you die hard bruin fans or anti beach fans might not like it, but CSULB will be the number 3 seed at UCLA next week.
