Long Beach, BYU, and Hawaii will be extremely strong without injuries. I see 2 of those 3 teams making the NCAA tournament this year

Penn State will do NOTHING in the final 4, I don't care even if they are hosting, look at their returning seniors.
against UCLA
Meerstein - had 3 kills, 2 blocks and swung 0.00! not great numbers for your first team all american
Proper - 11 Kills and 0 blocks!!! how can you touch 12 foot and have 0 blocks in 3 games, youd think he would jump with kowal or meerstein and get credit for just 1. sad.
O'dell - constantly getting taken out in big games for a true freshman! only played about 30 points the 1st time they played ucla. had potential to be great, but did not improve since freshman year
Wentzel - please! swung 0, and didnt even make 1st or 2nd team EIVA, i know he was injured, and if he was hurt then i understand.
Dont really see them making a lot of noise this year, but thats just me.

Penn state sucks, they are gonna lose to GMU in the EIVA finals. Then GMU is gonna get embarresed in the FF, but at least someone other than Penn State will be there.

Penn St. has the bodies to compete and win it is just in a bad place as far as preparation. They don't get challenged like they need down the stretch of their EIVA season and it seems like the opening round of the tourney is like a shock to them.
LBSU should be very good.
Hawaii will be Hawaii which is to say they will show flashes at points in the year but doubt they will be in State College in May.
Pepp well lets wait and see how they overcome the loss of Mr. Rooney. They need some people to step up if they are going to make it back.
MIVA has 3 or 4 teams that will beat each other up over the course of the year, and the last team standing will be good enough that you can't look past them at the NCAAs.

BYU - One player is not enough? It was enough to beat every team in the MPSF except Pepperdine last year.
LBSU - The best setter in the nation with a great outside and two decent middles? Sorry, but they will be good.

Sorry, but they will be good. LBSU - The best "short" setter in the nation. The game has passed him by....no longer a game for short setters. Decent middles will no longer win championships. They have to make teams commit-block on them to free the OH. And where is the OPP?

6'4" is short? Last time I checked the two Brazilian setter that were on their olympic team that won the gold medal were 6'2" and 6'3". This game is a game for setters who know the game and know where to put the ball. Hight isn't as important as you make it out to be.
