CSUN plays against your school(Stanford) tomorrow night. Do you have any predictions on the outcome? To make it somewhat interesting how about the losing team pays for first round of drinks? C'mon it's just for fun. I'm going out on a limb here - CSUN defeats Stanford in four games. Now I know you must be thinking I'm trippin' but hey anything can happen, right? Even if you don't drink we can talk about this match or anything about volleyball or whatever else is on our minds at The Abbey or around the corner at Here where we can Stand and Model just like the other guys. No wait - let's go for drinks at Hooters.

Tough call. I only saw Stanford against USC this year, and they were very streaky. Suddenly good, suddenly bad. They've won a few surprise matches this year, and lost a few as well.
If Stanford is playing well, I think Northridge goes down. Otherwise, Nargi's gonna wreak havoc.
What do others think of Paul Bocage? Based on only one game that I've seen, he thunders a few balls through, but has a real problem with serving. I don't think he got one serve in against USC. Other opinions?
As for a little bet on the Stanford/UCN game, I'll go Stanford in 5. And I'll pass on Hooters. I prefer my buffalo wings with a little less silicone.

Obviously I'm out of the loop here, but what happened to Toppel? Is he hurt or playing national team or what?

Toppell has been hurt - pulled/strained abdominal muscles.

Bocage is the man! That guy gets up and thunders! True, he's probably not the best server, but I think he's alright for a basketballer turned volley. As for Toppel, what the hell is wrong with that kid now? Strained abs? Christ, that kid should focus on his game instead of worrying about boning those ridiculously mediocre trims at Stanford. Maybe if he did that he wouldn't have strained abs, if you know what I mean. As for who will win, I hope the Cardinal win because those are my boys!

Joe Nargie has to play better tonight than last night. Only five kills and he's the team leader in kills for CSUN. The only bright spot for CSUN last night was that they outblocked Pacific. Give credit to Pacific - I'm sure they wanted to beat us because at one time they were ranked higher(not that much higher) than CSUN in the AVCA poll and feel they are a better team than CSUN. Well they probably feel justified now after defeating us twice this year. I'm bummed. About tonight's game StanfordFan - I still think that it will go to four games, Nargi has to play better, in fact the whole team has to and that CSUN will win, but it will be an ugly win. If I'm wrong, hey don't sue me, but I'll buy you a drink without the buffalo wings. As for Hooters - nothing wrong with that place but you and I know of better places to go for drinks. Good luck Matadors. Tough call. I only saw Stanford against USC this year, and they were very streaky. Suddenly good, suddenly bad. They've won a few surprise matches this year, and lost a few as well. If Stanford is playing well, I think Northridge goes down. Otherwise, Nargi's gonna wreak havoc. This is old news StanfordFan...CSUN defeated Stanford this past Saturday in four games. Who knew? Well after playing so horribly against UOP on Friday night I don't think they were pleased with the way they played. Well I won the bet(big wow) - first round of drinks on you. Maybe I'll see you at the games. Go Matadors!! Tough call. I only saw Stanford against USC this year, and they were very streaky. Suddenly good, suddenly bad. They've won a few surprise matches this year, and lost a few as well. If Stanford is playing well, I think Northridge goes down. Otherwise, Nargi's gonna wreak havoc.
