University of MD. Senate votes 42-17 to ban the invocation at the graduation ceremonies..
The reason was given that they wanted tolerance for all...those who believe and those who don't.
The Senate is made up of faculty and students...and the several clergymen who wrote the prayer to be plain vanilla as possible say it never chooses what religion to go by.
MD is also under pressure by students to see a 30 minute X rated PORN as class material.
My bet is PORN IS IN. GOD IS OUT.
add VT ..OK with gay marriage WITHOUT A SINGLE VOTE.
We argued months before the election what really mattered.. WE all agreed the budget ,,the war,the economy was more important than the so called MORAL issues.
I argued you sheep had your head in the sand...and liberals would attack the so called moral issues 1st thing...
Here is your smoking gun..little bites at a time ..HISTORY is now no longer taught..it is the new morality age of liberalism.
I was right and the backlash will be even greater when conservatives take control.

Must be nice to know the mind of God. Keep posting, Bill. It's the only way I'll ever get the inside story.
By the way, last I heard, Vermont ELECTS their reps. They were voted in and they voted. How is that "without a vote"?

It's not the mind of GOD we are debating..but the mind of MAN.
Again YOU SHEEP go after my geography..but NOT my points.
And the COURT is not elected by IOWANS..nor are VT representatives elected by the opinions on religious values. Exactly my point ..
DEMOCRATS and liberals said before the election they were after the moral higher ground...sensing a change in morality in AMERICA.
The Change..Obama hasn't attended CHURCH since the election. I haven't either but I am not an elected leader showing moral leadership .
I also didn't expect the change to be catering to Muslims while denying our Christan History.
BECK had a History lesson last night..I ALREADY KNEW IT but I bet a burger you didn't.
The term leathernecks comes from the military RESPONDING TO ISLAMIC PIRATES..( they were called terrorist back then) OUR troops wore stiff protective leather around their neck to ward off sword blows by our enemy's.
We have been FIGHTING ISLAMIC TERRORIST since our country was FOUNDED.
It was JEFFERSON that sent the troops to "the shores of tripoli" according to BECK.
Today we have PIRATES off SOMALIA taking a USA ship.. ( CLINTON'S MESS ) and we send in negotiators. The NK missile was sent up days ago and NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.
So we have MORAL ISSUES BEING DICTATED to conservatives by LIBERALS who won the election on SUBSTANTIAL topics of concerns...like defense ..the economy and deficits.
This stuff is worst now than when OBAMA took office. THANK GOD you can watch porn in college and gays can marry.
While the wolves draw closer with every passing week.

Oh, THAT'S your point, is it? Huh? Gotta stop you there. Glen Beck has NOTHING any intelligent human being will want to hear.

add VT ..OK with gay marriage WITHOUT A SINGLE VOTE. That's hilarious. State after state allows same-sex marriage via the court systems, and all the conservatives complain about how it should be done through the lawmaking process rather than via "judicial activism". So Vermont does it via the lawmaking process, and now Bill's complaining that it wasn't done through a direct vote of the people. Next I predict that if it were done through a direct vote of the people, we would find out that what Bill really means is that it was not done through a direct vote of Bill. It's clear that Bill thinks he ought to have veto power over the world.

No, his complaint must be that it was done with multiple votes. Both houses of the VT legislature had to vote once (each) to pass it, and then once (each) to override the governor's veto.

No.. idiots among us..
Do you agree with every vote your congressperson makes? REALLY? PT > ME
Every time this comes to a GENERAL vote..it loses.
I love it when ..MG says State after state allows same-sex marriage via the court systems, and all the conservatives complain about how it should be done through the lawmaking process rather than via "judicial activism".
So Vermont does it via the lawmaking process, and now Bill's complaining that it wasn't done through a direct vote of the people.
READ THAT AGAIN REALLY SLOWLY since you have ZERO concept of LAW.
Liberals use THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM..which represents only 1 branch of government..(still THINKING ...YET?) Judges are appointed or elected without much vetting..REMEMBER all those judges YOU voted for that run UN apposed? Certain courts are far left..there fore Liberals pick and choose their fights and go there ...Calif Circus court 10.
That is why we have an APPEALS SYSTEM...to correct stupid decisions made by leftest OR conservative JUDGES.
Now imagine if you will a very liberal state such as VT..which boast they are independent..(pure BS )
You elected your congress person because he/she was fiscally liberal but conservative socially.
Then you get this law passed...and VETOED by the governor..and over ridden. Cool.
But the people never got a say..
Just as in ROE vs. WADE..
legislators being bought and paid for... over ridding the national consensus about conservative views.WELL DOCUMENTED ..who funds their campaigns..
It wasn't about raising taxes to fund a war ,school ...roads..it was about a liberal position on marriage that the rest of the country doesn't want or agree with.
It will only take a prop. 8 in VT to overturn and it will happen sooner or later.
When the votes of every voter is counted the minority view LOSES..and that is their REAL FEAR.
BEING a minority view.

Bill, the people DID get a say. That's how it works: we elect 'em to do the job.
Obviously, you have a different concept of our government and our laws (and our constitution for that matter). Are you a part of Beck's revolutionary army? You and Sean and Bachmann, using Rush as a tank?
