Bill. I'll be the first. I will respond for the gay community.... since we ALL think exactly the same way!
IT WAS AN INAPPROPRIATE QUESTION TO ASK. Perez (or some producer) was looking to push some buttons. Unfortunately, they were successful.
The only thing MORE disappointing than her answer is the response from that little Ahole Perez Hilton. He needs to stick to his snarky little blog and stop trying to be an advocate. I applaud his effort.... I'm embarrassed by his interviews!

Why is it inappropriate for a gay judge to ask a question about gay marriage? It is certainly an issue of current events, and it is apparently an issue that is important to him. If a politician were a judge, would it not be appropriate for him/her to ask about a recent political issue?

Why is it inappropriate for a gay judge to ask a question about gay marriage? Because pagent questions are supposed to be about how much the candidate loves puppies, wants to feed starving kids, hopes to use her fame to combat malaria in the third world, and hopes for world peace in our lifetime.

I'll admit, I don't really watch these beauty contests. Maybe they are asking these type of political questions. I didn't like it because it was a leading question. Why not ask an open-ended question regarding what she believes in.... rather than asking a question that forces her to validate your specific belief? Asking a girl's view on abortion would have been just as inappropriate... IMHO. It is kind of like me being asked the same question at a job interview.
The winner of these pageants usually devot their time to one charity. They aren't politicians.

No it has been documented by FOX that the gay community is silent and in fact HAPPY over the exchange. It's hopeless. He's too far gone...

So, if I understand this correctly, the Miss USA winner goes on to the Miss Universe pageant and the Miss America winner goes on to the Miss World pageant?

So, if I understand this correctly, the Miss USA winner goes on to the Miss Universe pageant and the Miss America winner goes on to the Miss World pageant? Shouldn't there be a Miss Solar System pagent mixed in there? Maybe even a Miss Spiral Arm?

Too me, universe sounds broader than world. Universe extends out into space and world is just the earth. This is a critical distinction and one that needs to be addressed by pageant officials. And yes, mikegarrison, a Miss Solar System pageant is conspicuously missing.

To be fair, strictly on terms of poise and articulateness, she was OK with the former but badly flunked the latter. She made little sense. Isn't that the real purpose of these question and answers, to see how the girls in bikinis respond to a judge's question?
This, of course, is what the world needs. Girls in bikinis who can respond articulately to the questions of pseudo-celebrities.

I am surprised there aren't more women jumping in..
GEE..I guess we want our young girls pretty, skinny ..all looking exactly alike and responding just as we would want them to. We dont want them to think for themselves...its ok as long as they serve us BEER in those itty, bitty, white BIKINIS.
and gays can use any agenda to further their advancement.
I was told a long time ago that being gay wasn't environmental..but genetic.
So they all must share something in common..share more than 1 genetic gene.
or was I right all along?

Fox News The Tabloid should stick to car chases in California.

Notice not 1 gay person has come out and said the question was wrong to ask. How do you know?
