or....could it be that perhaps she has had it with comments such as these from Americans who have became the worst example of tackiness . I am hoping her kids can also restore their faith in some human decency,...... and maybe some day hopefully believe that fellow Americans arent as cruel as they seem. Ringing a bell?

More like they were investigated for years by an extremely hostile prosecutor who was eventually forced by the evidence to concede that they were not guilty of anything. There is a shocker Garrison,.....excuses for the Clintons. Any for Palin? Not really excuses..just facts...I know how uncomfortable you are with the facts, so you can just leave it alone if you want.

Holiday, you are as boring as usual. I guess you don't understand the concept, but you don't need excuses for not being indicted.
If Palin were a Democrat, you would be crowing over this. Instead you are wringing your hands over how cruel Americans have become.
If you want to talk about classless and cruel, I would suggest that the first person you need to include on that list is Anne Coulter. Would you agree with that?

Including open season on her family too!. Seriously?? High level politics=open season into every dark little niche of your closet and your family...nothing new here. Smart people recognize this and try to keep their families out of the lime light.

I have never seen a board so obsessed with a political figuire in my life. Palin must be a tremendous threat to all of you and you must worry yourselves sick over it because you cannot stop talking about her . How many threads on her have involved Palin or turned into a Palin subject. You all must be closet fans. You give her more attention than you do the President for crying out loud and guess what.....all that attention must mean that she has alot of influence and power evidentally. Interesting.

From Yahoo news.
The abruptness of her announcement and the mystery surrounding her plans has fed widespread speculation. But Palin attorney Thomas Van Flein on Saturday warned legal action may be taken against bloggers and publications that reprint what he calls fraudulent claims.
"To the extent several websites, most notably liberal Alaska blogger Shannyn Moore, are now claiming as 'fact' that Governor Palin resigned because she is 'under federal investigation' for embezzlement or other criminal wrongdoing, we will be exploring legal options this week to address such defamation," Van Flein said in a statement. "This is to provide notice to Ms. Moore, and those who re-publish the defamation, such as Huffington Post, MSNBC, the New York Times and The Washington Post, that the Palins will not allow them to propagate defamatory material without answering to this in a court of law

I watched Palin's enitre speech to try to understand why she was resigning and was left just shaking my head. It was just rambling and incoherent at times. If she is doing this to run for president, I think she made a big mistake. If she is doing this because she is done with politics and just wants out then that's fine but she should have at least fulfulled her commitment to Alaskans for just the year and half left otherwise she's just a quitter.

Attorneys are allowed to claim anything and everything, whether true or not. But if Palin says something directly, it could be used against her in a court of law. That was Clinton's mistake. He should never have denied having extra-martial sex himself, he should've just had his attorney make such claims on his behalf.

Better yet, he should have let his attorney mess around with Monica instead of him.

Palin links resignation to "higher calling"! She could be a martyr! After the never ending jaded spotlight has glared so long on her and her family , I think people will put her in that category.

Press and focus upon her is part of her job. If she can't handle it, she's in the wrong line of work.

Don't you think that perhaps the press and the intense focus on her all the time has made it very difficult for her to do her job? What's your point? That she's justified in quitting because of the intense media scrutiny? Welcome to politics. She certainly courted the press and prolonged the coverage when it suited her. We don't know why she resigned because in her long speech she never specified why but if it was because she couldn't take the heat, in my opinion, she's a quitter. A lot of elected officials have it just as bad or worse than her. Good thing McCain wasn't elected. She would have just quit being VP.
