Well it seems that the Full Mooners tried to pull a fast one producing a birth certificate from Kenya that turns out to be fake. www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/03/kenyan-birth-certificate_n_249850.htmlSome of the flaws in this document ? Kenya was a Dominion the date this certificate was allegedly issued and would not become a republic for 8 months. Mombasa belonged to Zanzibar when Obama was born, not Kenya. Obama's father's village would be nearer to Nairobi, not Mombasa. it was called the "Central Nyanza District," not Nyanza Province. The regions were changed to provinces in 1970 The number 47O44-- 47 is Obama's age when he became president, followed by the letter O (not a zero) followed by 44--he is the 44th president. Signed by EF Lavender which is a laundry detergent.

www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/chi-oped0803pittsaug03,0,4908489.story chicagotribune.com On birth (and the death of conservative movement) Leonard Pitts August 3, 2009 My daughter was born in Los Angeles County on Sept. 4, 1990. I know this because I was there. Should that not be proof enough, I also have her birth certificate. We requested it years ago and received a document that looks nothing like the ones I have for my folks, with names and parentage typed in tiny boxes. By contrast, this was a computer-generated abstract with my daughter's data neatly printed on it. We asked why we couldn't get a "real" birth certificate and were told this one "is" real; this is how they do it now. Indeed, the inscription on the certificate proclaims: "This certified document is a true abstract of the official record filed with the Registrar-Recorder." We used that document to get my daughter's Social Security card, so I figure a "true abstract" is good enough for the federal government. But evidently, it's not good enough for Stefan Cook, Orly Taitz, Rush Limbaugh, Philip Berg and Lou Dobbs. Barack Obama, you see, has a birth certificate much like my daughter's, documenting his birth in Hawaii on Aug. 4, 1961. He's made it available online, just a Google search away. But that didn't satisfy Cook, an Army reservist who refused to deploy to Afghanistan because, he recently explained, his commander in chief is not qualified to be his commander in chief. Or Taitz, the Russian-born lawyer who represents him. Or Limbaugh, the radio loudmouth who tells his listeners the president has no birth certificate. Or Berg, who has made a career out of suing the president over this "issue." Or Lou Dobbs who, while professing his belief that Obama was born in this country, has kept up a drumbeat demanding that he prove it. As if he had not already. The "birthers" movement -- people who claim Obama cannot be president because he isn't a citizen -- has proved hardier than cockroaches in its ability to survive the passage of time and repeated collisions with reality. It is, if anything, more visible now than at any time in the year or so since first it surfaced. It even includes a handful of GOP lawmakers. Yours truly lacks the acumen to calculate how stupid you'd have to be to believe there is a shred of a shred of a piece of a fraction of validity to their claim. With the untold fortune Hillary Clinton, John McCain and others spent researching Obama, we're supposed to believe it took Orly Taitz to dig out this bombshell? And what of the birth announcements in two Honolulu newspapers, heralding Obama's arrival? Did he send somebody back to '61 in a time machine to plant them? Unbelievable. And yet, believed. GOP Rep. Mike Castle of Delaware was booed and shouted down at a town hall meeting because he dared vouch that the president is a citizen. If I were of that endangered species, the thoughtful conservative, I would find that deeply troubling. And I'll save you the trouble: No, the left is not free of lunacy. Somewhere out there, somebody still thinks George W. Bush had the Pentagon bombed on Sept. 11, 2001. But the Democrats usually keep their loons off to the side where they are pandered to, yes, but not allowed to run the show. For Republicans, lunacy has "become" the show, a circus of extremism that now defines them. In it, Obama is an undocumented worker, Sonia Sotomayor is a Klanswoman, Saddam Hussein green-lighted the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and no one dares dissent for fear of the great and powerful Rush Limbaugh. For a generation, the GOP has tolerated and encouraged this estrangement from reality because it played well at the ballot box. Rep. Castle's experience suggests the cost may now outstrip the benefits. Because the cost is the specter of a party rendered ridiculous -- and irrelevant. You have to ask yourself: How far from reality can you wander before you can't find your way home again? If conservatives aren't careful, they may soon find out. i love how on those talking head shows, they interview the attorney leading the charge for the birthers, and in her description at the bottom of the screen, they list her profession as "Attorney, Dentist, Black Belt in Taekwondo."
I think that says it all right there ...

Kenya? Where'd that come from?
Ok, I stopped paying attention to this once Obama was elected since, well, nobody cared enough to look into this before the election, certainly they'd wouldn't care after. But when I last payed attention, I heard the argument that A) there were travel records indicating that Obama's Mama was in INDONESIA for a period of time that included Obama's day of birth. B) Obama's Hawaiian Birth Certificate was of a style that did not exist in 1961.
I thought these two point merited further research but if it was to be an issue I felt that it had to be settled in court BEFORE the nominating conventions, not 6 months after he's been elected.
Personally, I'd prefer to think that Obama isn't an American, but I feel the same way about Roseanne Barr, Peewee Herman, Nancy Pelosi, Pat Buchannan, Latrell Spreewell, Tom Green, Sean Hannity, and anybody who paid money to go see the movie "Bruno," among others.

It's fake. But, since nobody called him on it (including the Hawaii State Department of Health)before he got nominated, and he won the election, it's a non-issue.
His parents might have REGISTERED him with the Department of Health and SAID he was born in Hawaii, but why doesn't the hospital where he was born have any medical record of his birth? And why is it that in some news stories in the past Obama claimed he was born at Queen's Medical Center but now claims that he was born at Kapiolani?
The answer is simple. He was born abroad and brought back to Hawaii, where his parents registered him with the Department of Health and claimed he was born in Hawaii, when he actually was born abroad. The Department of Health doesn't care as long as you fill out the paperwork and pay the fees. You claim your baby was born in Hawaii? Hey we believe you, he's your copy of the certificate and your receipt. Next in line, please.
Show me some medical records of his birth - I don't care if it's Queen's or Kapiolani. But show me SOMETHING. His parents pulled a fast one on the state of Hawaii in 1961. And being the beneficiary of that, he now gets to be our President for the next 3.5 years.

Short answer, and the RIGHT answer:
Obama was born in Kenya, but brought back to Hawaii and registered there as a US citizen by birth. And since his mom was only 18, she didn't qualify as having resided in the US continuously for 5 consecutive years from age 14.
So, he really isn't a natural born U.S. citizen, by the criteria set forth in the U.S. Constitution. But heck, no one is gonna be able to seriously challenge that or prove it, so we might as well just buckle up and ride out the next 3.5 years.
Seriously, though, other than spend a crapload of money that our country and its people really didn't have in the first place, Obama has done absolutely nothing since taking office 7 months ago. Well, I guess he's given alot of press conferences on just about every topic out there and provided the news media enough sound bites to keep his momentum going. That's about it.

The irony of all this, of course, is that there is absolutely no question whatsoever that John McCain was not born in the US. And yet, these people have all these crazy conspiracy theories floating around about Obama being born outside the US. It wouldn't matter even if it were true, which I'm certain it is not.
Obama's mother was a US citizen, so he is. End of story, no matter where he was born. Just like McCain.

WRONG again ..since we are smart..
we posted why OBAMA doesn't get citizenship because his MOTHER DIDN'T QUALIFY,this is a known FACT.
His father is /was a citizen of a BRITISH COLONY ..so he doesn't pass down anything.A a known FACT !
So location of his birth is a UN KNOWN fact...family records along with newspaper accounts list 2 separate hospitals.
His paternal grandmother says she was present at birth in KENYA at the time of his birth and is on a sopena before the supreme court saying so.
There is nothing liberals have posted or dis proved about her.
If this is a fact..he and democrats are TOAST.
along with the fact that LIBERALS DEMANDED McCain
PROVE HIS REAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE and history.
Obama has shown absolutely NOTHING...NO medical, educational, work or legislative papers, documents or history. NOTHING.
He is a fraud. Happy 48 th birthday Mr. president.

Obama's mother was a US citizen, so he is. End of story, no matter where he was born. Just like McCain. Obama clearly is an American, has lived the majority of his life as an American, lives like an American, dresses like an American, supports and participates in the rotting bloated corpse of an ethically bankrupt two-party oligarchical economic control system disguised as political democracy like an American, etc. etc. The efforts to prove that he is not a born citizen and therefore not eligible for the Presidency are just this century's version of the one-drop rule. We've always had ways of determining who we can justify disempowering in this country, but since doing it by means of ethnic purity is no longer a viable option, those people must turn to an updated, more generally palatable method. They were digging a new foundation in Manhattan And discovered a slave cemetery there May their souls rest easy now that lynching is frowned upon And we've moved on, to the electric chair. And I wonder who's gonna be president Tweedle dum or tweedle dumber? And who's gonna have the big Blockbuster box office This summer? How 'bout we put up a wall Between the houses and the highway And then you can go your way And I can go my way. Except all the radios agree with all the TVs And all the magazines agree with all the radios And I keep hearing that same damn song Everywhere I go! Maybe I should put a bucket over my head And a marshmallow in each ear And stumble around for another dumb numb week waiting For another hum drum hit song to appear People used to make records As in a record of event The event of people Playing music in a room Now everything is cross-marketing It's about sunglasses and shoes Or guns or drugs You choose We got it rehashed We got it half-assed We're digging up all the graves And we're spitting on the past And we can choose between the colors Of the lipstick on the whores Cuz we know difference Between the font of twenty percent more And the font of teriyaki You tell me How does it make you feel? You tell me what's real And they say that alcoholics are always alcoholics Even when they're as dry as my lips for years Even when they're stranded on a small desert island With no place in two thousand miles to buy beer And I wonder is he different is he different Has he changed What he's about Or is he just a liar With nothing to lie about Am I headed for the same brick wall? Is there anything I can do About anything at all Except go back to that corner in manhattan And dig deeper Dig deeper this time Down beneath the impossible pain of our history Beneath unknown bones Beneath the bedrock of the mystery Beneath the sewage system an the path train Beneath the cobblestones and the water main Beneath the traffic of friendships and street deals Between the screeching of kamikaze cab wheels Beneath everything I can think of to think about Beneath it all Beneath all get out Beneath the good and the kind and the stupid and the cruel There's a fire just waiting for fuel

We've always had ways of determining who we can justify disempowering in this country, but since doing it by means of ethnic purity is no longer a viable option, those people must turn to an updated, more generally palatable method. I don't know ... it seems like there has been a rise in isolationism and xenophobia for a long time now. Maybe since the Iranian hostage crisis? People seem to be blaming immigrants for more and more of their own problems, with an associated rise in nativism. So while I think that yes, this silliness is mainly driven by opportunists and fueled by stupidly gullible people, I think it is also tapping into this fear of foreign influences. Even a decade ago people were agitating for a constitutional amendment removing this "natural born" wording, mainly because they wanted Arnold to run for President. Now big chunks of the population are grasping at it, wanting to make sure that the presidency remains as homegrown as possible. ... Because that has worked so well?

Obama's mother was a US citizen, so he is. End of story, no matter where he was born. Just like McCain. Wrong. You need to be a natural born citizen of the U.S. to become President. McCain, by the definition of the U.S. Constitution, meets that criteria. Obama, it seems, does not.

The funny thing is: there was no question that both Bush 43 and Darth Vader, oops, I mean Dick Chaney, were both residents of Texas when they ran for President...
