This is why I can't get all bumped up and excited about liberating cesspools of violence like Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and so on. Even the "moderate" folks can't seem to hold a protest or demonstration without chanting for the death, dismemberment, torture, or great harm to their opponents.
I mean really, I thought the pro-government rampaging rhino George W. Bush administration was enormously damaging to this country, and with our current Spender-in-Chief I'm eyeing my assets and long-term investments very anxiously. I have participated in a few third-party organizations and observed a few protests, but I wouldn't dream of taking to the streets and calling for "Death to the Enemies of Fiscal Conservatism!" or "Death to the Enemies of Being Able to Screw Who You Want and Do Stupid Drugs and Say The F Word on TV!"
You can't "liberate" people whose chief method of social justice consistently involves lynch mobs and celebratory beheadings without due process of law.

Worse. Textbook approval committee for the 2009 school year. Haha...yes. However...my favorite thing has been watching hypocritical news casters calling these people patriots...yet a year ago were calling people who were peacefully protesting the war un-American and Nazi's.

My country, right or wrong ... unless your guy got elected in the last cycle, in which case public dissent is the hallmark of freedom.

Weird, I was thinking of the "moderate, pro-democracy" folks in countries like Iran and Afghanistan, but I guess this thread could apply to US politics too...

You could apply my statement to that theater also...heck...just make it a mad-libs and put in the appropriate name for the region and time...for some reason self-righteous hypocrites seem to be very apt to getting face time in the media.
