Um, if you win your conference, you get an NCAA automatic bid.....at least last time I checked It depends if there is a conference tournament. Yeah, um, no....I'm positive that if you win your conference you are in the tournament. How else does the Ivy or CAA or other conferences that don't have an end of the year tournament get represented in the NCAA?

CAA has a tourney I believe.

If there is no end of season tourney then the conference regular season champ is awarded the automatic bid. A lot of conferences used to forgo the conference tourneys.
