Thanks Spike for the heads up concerning bangdown's the rest of the MPSF season predictions (I counted all the non-MPSF matches as well). My apologies, bangdown (and YES...please predict the weekly matches...they're fun). ;D
My MPSF final season predictions:
(1) Pepperdine 20-2
(2) Brigham Young 18-4
(3) Hawaii 17-5
(4) Northridge 14-8
(5) Stanford 12-10
(6 Tie) UC-Irvine 11-11
(6 Tie) Pacific 11-11
(7) Long Beach 10-12
(8) UCLA 8-14
(9) UC-Santa Barbara 5-17
(10) USC 3-19
(11) UC-San Diego 0-22
I agree with you on the bottom 3 (USC,UCSB,UCSD), but I feel that UCLA will be out of the tournament. It has been an exciting (and at times unpredictable) season. I enjoy watching the matches, BUT I really enjoy everyone's comments, bantering and predictions on this site. It makes for a better understanding of ALL the teams, especially in the various analytic posts of the many knowledgeable fans. Everyone has their favorite teams, but it's nice to appreciate every volleyball team, in general...that's a mark of a great volleyball fan.
As far as I'm concerned, I'll be wearing my Pepperdine shirt together with my California/Hawaiian shirt, and BYU hat.
Has anyone noticed that there aren't the negative posts this year than last year? It's probably because of the many fan posts analyzing every team's play and not getting defensive on their own team's losses. It makes for good communication. I think next year, I'll start rooting for UC-San Diego. They are a scrappy & gutsy team who should be playing in lesser Division, but my hat is off to them because of their tenancity in wanting to play the BEST...win or lose, they are WINNERS in my estimation. GO UCSD.
Hey VBCrusin, got a question for you. I noticed that you put Pepperdine at the top, which is no surprise. ;D But you also list them with one more loss. Who do you think they will lose to?
