In the Matadors' 3-2 upset win over No. 5 Long Beach State, Vance pounded 23 kills, hit .341 to go with six digs and a pair of blocks. On Saturday against UC San Diego, he knocked down a match-high 19 kills while hitting .469 as the Matadors won in three games. He also added an ace, six digs and three blocks in the match. Cal State Northridge wraps up a five-match homestand this Tuesday, Mar. 7 as the Matadors host Quincy in a non-conference match at 7 p.m.

Congrats to Eric. He deserves the honor.
Nice wins for the Matadors last week, especially against Long Beach. It was an interesting match to watch.

I saw the game on Saturday night and am very happy to see that his game against UCSD wasn't a fluke. This kid can bring it!

Northridge's Libero is not that good, Against Hawai'i He got aced alot, And could not pass freeballs to the setter

Libero has not played well the last month. Started strong but he needs to got better again, soon.

Eric is the best freshman I have seen this year. I think he could be freshman of the year.
