I don't care how you want to spin it, 18, 23, & 28 is a beatdown. Especially at home. Yeah you played better in the 3rd game, but too little, too late. Props to Budinger for his play. Moving him to OPP was good coaching.

WoW!!! is this legit? its not up on either of their websites yet... but big props to the beach if the gave pepp the bangdown! Losses to hawaii and BYU is understandable, but UCSB and Long Beach i didnt see coming. This is not to say they are lesser teams (they are both great) but i think most of us can agree we are surpised.

Damn.... I was assuming that Pepp would be inconsistent this year anyway with no Rooney, but after the strong start, they had me dreaming big again.... they better chalk this up under "learning experience" and move on or else they could find themselves in 6th place in the MPSF in no time.

LBSU when on, could win the National Championship... When off, lost to Penn State. Big ups and downs. I need to watch more matches.

Long Beach had to do something after the loss to PSU and UH, so the second match against UH, they moved Budinger over to OPP and Tarr to OH. Now they have a threat at both pins and teams can't just camp out on Tarr. Budinger has never played anywhere but MB, so it took some getting used to, but they are playing much better with this line up and it would appear that Budinger is getting comfortable out there.
GO BEACH!!

They definately had not been playing up to par , until tonight . They have played some good games but overall have stunk up the gym . Knipes moving Budinger to OPP has worked and Long could still be a team to be reckoned with if the can keep putting matches together like last night . I give nothing but props to a team when they step up and win a big game like they did last night. When Ii commented before I also was right , they were stinking up the gym , last night it was Pepperdines turn to stink up the gym. LBSU finally played up to par tonight! wasn't a clsoe game at all. Pepperdoody, I thought Long Beach was terrible this year?!

Since the move to opposite Budinger has been averaging 5.23 kills a game whil tarr has been averaging 4.73 kills a game since the move to outside. When these two are playing well LB is tough to beat. Great passing made the game a little easier for the beach last night. Passing might be Pepperdines weakness, if they are unable to get the ball to Hein in the middle it could be a long night for them.
