yea it pretty much was a block fest for IPFW. Ball State could get nothing past the block or it seemed as though they just hit it right into the block. It seems as though BSU has just lost the will to win.

I really do think that IPFW is going to win the MIVA this year. It would be nice to see them in the Final Four again.

They have played well in the MIVA, and played well out of the MIVA. Good luck the rest of the way!

IPFW is actually one of the best blocking teams in the nation. they outblocked every opponent they played so far (northridge twice, long beach, pacific twice, ball state, ohio state, loyola etc.) i dont think any other team in the nation can say that (i.e. just look at one of the better blocking teams in the mpsf in long beach state, they even got outblocked by ohio state). and ipfw outblocked both ohio state and long beach this season.

IPFW is a very good blocking team, especially for their size but I don't know how that really compares nationally. However, they did not outblock Loyola (6-6), Ohio State (6.5-6.5) or Ball State (13.5-13). But other than those teams, they significantly outblocked opponents.

so ipfw got outblocked ONLY once (and just by half a block) this season out of 19 matches. i think that's "pretty" good

While they are a good blocking team, the west coast teams you say they out blocked, swing for the court...
Meaning; you won't see many balls being hit out of bounds, rather, those swings that are recorded as errors, are blocks.
An error is an error, is an error, but I think many of the MIVA teams would out block the MPSF teams...
